Hello, all my dearest friends and readers! I was looking through some of my older stories and I found this one that you might enjoy. You can also think of this as a New Year's gift I hope you like it!
Disclaimer: I own nothing related to Vocaloid…
Moonlight Memories
Every night all the rooms were completely silent: residents were asleep, music was off, it was as if there weren't any residents in the rooms at all…with the exception of one room.
The largest room held three occupants: a pink-haired woman, a purple-haired man, and a small female that looked like a combination of both the woman and the man.
They were Luka Megurine, Gakupo Kamui, and their infant daughter Zelenia.
. . .
A sweet lullaby filled the room as Luka slowly walked around the room, cradling the female infant with Gakupo watching her.
"Beautiful as always…" he said with a sly smirk.
After Zelenia fell asleep, Luka gently set her into the large purple and pink crib, and then turned to her lover.
"Handsome as always…" she replied with her own sly smirk.
As the moonlight began to illuminate their daughter's face, the two parents couldn't help but recall the day she entered the world.
. . .
On a dark, calm, and starry night, Luka and Gakupo had returned from their date by the lake that had been put on hold for the longest time; with song writing, video recording, concerts, or often in Luka's case, babysitting, any free time would have to be captured and used right away
Luka and Gakupo had finally received their chance when they were chosen to be the ones to have the day off…and they were going to make sure that they used it well.
Once at the lake, the two Vocaloids rested by a tree and enjoyed the serene environment around them: soft, soothing lake, chirps of crickets, everything they needed to relax after being able to do so for the longest time.
As the evening went on, Luka and Gakupo had returned to the subject that had constantly been on their minds.
The subject of being parents…
Luka had always wanted to be a mother and Gakupo a father, but they knew that having a child would only make their already busy lives much busier.
Gakupo knew that Luka was a strong woman (mentally and physically), but there was no way she could handle juggling being a musician and a mother.
Luka knew that Gakupo was a strong man (mentally and physically) but there was no way he could handle juggling being a musician and a father, not to mention his side career as a samurai.
Yet…
Despite their hectic lives, their hearts took over their minds and they gave in.
. . .
The news of Luka's pregnancy really threw everyone for a loop. Some were excited and happy for her, while others weren't as they had such high hopes for her (some actually tried to convince her to get rid of the baby.)
But despite the hype and disappointment from others, Luka and Gakupo set aside their doubts and convinced themselves that they indeed had the capability of becoming parents.
~9 months later~
On a starless, quiet night, Luka had gone into labor and shortly after midnight, their daughter Zelenia was born, who was soon nicknamed The Samurai's Daughter.
. . .
As the moonlight left the bedroom, Luka couldn't help but think of Zelenia's nickname.
It suited her so well, but in a way, made Luka uncomfortable and she couldn't figure out why.
But whatever the reason was, it really made Zelenia stick out, just like her parents.
And they liked it…
I hoped you enjoyed it!
