This story is very short and not intended to be continued, although that is subject to change. This was mostly a way to keep my beta-reader 'privilege' once I remove another story. Anyway, continue on.
In, 2,3,4. Out, 2,3,4. In, 2,3-
Sapphire tumbled to the left as someone crashed into her. As she turned onto her back she felt the mass beside her shift, "Ow", oh so it wasn't an animal. Sapphire cast a glance toward the stranger before checking her skates, she'd skinned her knee and one of her buckles had loosened during the fall.
"Shit!", the person beside her gasped while sitting up, "my board." They looked back and forth before, Sapphire guessed, spotting what they were looking for and jumping up to get it.
"Holy shit dicks!", they yelled looking at the chipped tail of the board.
The stranger shuffled back to where Sapphire was sitting, dropping their bag as they fell back onto the ground cradling the board, "How the hell?"
Sapphire finished redoing her skate, and reached for the bandana she'd tied to her thigh. Dabbing at her knee she watched as the blood left maroon like spots on the blue, it was during this process the skater finally addressed her... Sort of.
"Oh crap, did I do that?" Sapphire didn't even bother looking up as she nodded her head, "Damn, I'm so sorry!"
The skater moved in front of her and reached for the bandana before pulling their hand back again. "Oh umm, can I.. You know, help?" They muttered while fidgeting their hands, Sapphire nodded leaning back on her hands, leaving the fabric laying across her knee.
They grabbed it and pulled a water from the backpack they'd dropped, Sapphire flipped her hair as the water was poured on the wound. "The name's Ruby by the way", they stated dabbing her knee.
Sapphire took a moment to take in the person cleaning her knee. They looked about her height and had a sweatband across their forehead, they didn't seem too bad, and it didn't hurt that they were so nice to look at either.
"Sapphire", she said as she pulled her hair into a ponytail.
