I woke up to the sound of yelling. I got out of bed in a matter of seconds and grabbed my sword. I made my sword myself and was proud of it. Even though the sword was made of stone, it could make a heck of a cut. I ran out of my room and into my mom and dad's room. They were already awake and looked like they were packing in a hurry.
"Whats going on?" I asked, wondering what all the fuss was about.
"Ray, Its time you know." My mom began. "A group of allies known as The Allegiance has found our village, and is attempting a take over." She spoke with sorrow, and I knew that this wasn't good.
"I will help." I said sternly.
"No" My dad replied. "You're safer following your mother and the rest of the women and children."
I went to my room to finish packing up. I sighed sadly as I looked at my room. I would miss living in a peaceful village. I ran outside to see my mom already with the men and women fleeing the village. 4 soldiers ran by me, and I decided to follow them. I turned the corner and immediately jumped back. All of the village soldiers, and the village commander himself were all standing there; planning.
"We don't have much time. They are coming upon us!" I heard one of the soldiers yell.
I heard a clashing noise behind me and jumped in between houses. About 4-8 soldiers went running to the wall, just as it happened. The wall exploded, knocking all of the soldiers back. I heard screams and saw skeletal like soldiers pouring in through the gap. I was so horrified, and yet all I could do was stand there, staring. I came out of my daze when a skeletal warrior jumped at me. I blocked his attack with my sword and struck kicked the skeleton in the knee. He staggered backwards, giving me just enough time to slice at his ribcage. The skeleton fell apart instantly. I looked down at him and finally got a look at what they were. They were nearly exactly like human skeletons, but their bones looked bigger, and their schools looked slightly awkward. Their mandibles were slightly more outward than usual, and the top of its head was a bit more flat than usual. I stared at its skull, fascinated. Then I noticed the weapon it attacked me with, It was about half as long as my sword, but a heck load sharper and more dagger like. I quickly put the dagger in my sheath and ran out the of the alley; into a field of complete chaos. About half of our men were lying on the ground, while the rest were injured. I couldn't see my dad anywhere, in fact... I couldn't even see the village commander anymore. Fog was everywhere, and I decided that the best option would be to just flee. I ran to the nearest hilltop and observed the battle from afar. I knew instantly that If I had stayed; I would be dead.
