His rigid breathing is heavy, and his shaky hands are hesitating to touch her as she lay there; motionless, breath uneven and slow.
He's desperately hoping she opens her eyes. Like this whole mess never happened, and they could go right back to the way they were; their uncontrollable fighting hiding the love, their occasional little moments shared by glances. He finds himself wishing this never happened.
"Casey." He sighs, and lets himself gently stroke her cheek as he felt the cold air cracking in through the car windows; a shiver ran down his spine, and he barely noticed her shutter.
Her skin was a pale white, and her cheeks were a bright red; he could sense her pain and her fear of being alone.
Because honestly, she knew what was happening and he knew just as well. She didn't want to be alone at all; she wanted him to be there with her. She only wanted him.
In a few seconds, she would be gone.
He felt time ticking by endlessly, and he couldn't himself from crying; he wished her goodbye silently before she stopped heaving all together.
If she wasn't able to say goodbye to him with words; he wasn't either.
For a few minutes he sat there, staring at passenger seat where she lay.
It wasn't long before their bodies were found huddled together, piled under the snow with arms linked around each other and tears in his eyes.
It's short, weirdly it made me upset at the thought of writing something like this. Review and let me know if I screwed up.
