A Very Shoey New Year: Joey's Decision

"So Shane, will you marry me... please?" Joey asked in fear of Shane saying 'no'. "Joey, I- I don't know what to say, you caught me by surprise. Can we forget about it for a minute and eat?" "Umm, sure" Joey replied, with butterflies in his stomach. He's gonna say no Joey pondered. Joey stood up and sat down in his seat. He looked down to find a turkey on a large plate on the centre of the table. "Wow" Joey whispered. "Thank the servant" Shane laughed. "what? Oh, Lisa" Joey said stupidly then started laughing, not a fake laugh, a real Joey laugh. Shane smiled. He loved everything about Joey.
"Umm Shane I have to go to the bathroom for a second" Joey said when he thought he would go bright red from seeing Shane smile, looking into his eyes. "Oh sure, you know where it is right?" Shane asked. "Shane, i've been in your house a hundred times" "And have never asked to go to the bathroom once" Shane smirked, and they both started laughing. A real laugh.
As Joey went to the bathroom, Shane quickly prepared something romantic for Joey. They hadn't spoken about Joey proposing in a while, so he had to speed it up a little.
Joey skipped happily back to the table. He sat back down and joined Shane when he looked down to find something carved into the Christmas turkey. "Yes?" Joey asked, reading the beautifully carved "yes" on the turkey. "Yes," Said shane "And the servant didn't do that, unbelievably" Joey started laughing again. "Shane, let's get married, but I don't want to wait." Joey said, while gazing into Shane's eyes.
And finally Shane came up with an amazing idea: "well what about New Year?"
