Prologue
Even before he got thrown off the edge of the Grand Canyon, Harry knew something was wrong.
He had just woken up in the back of a school bus, not sure where he was, sitting right across from a blonde-haired and roguish looking boy and a pretty looking girl with chocolate brown hair holding hands.
He looked around to see dozens of kids sprawled in seats in front of him talking, sleeping, and listening to music coming from small strange looking boxes. They all looked around his age….. fifteen? Sixteen?
Okay that was a tad bit terrifying. He couldn't remember his own age, lifting himself up from his sprawled position in his seat and rubbing his aching head tried to think back to what he remembered last. Looking outside the bus he saw Cactuses and parched desert all around him. Harry was pretty sure that he didn't live in the desert…
"Hey Harry, Jason, you two feeling alright?" The chocolate haired girl asked as she looked me and the blonde haired boy now identified as Jason, who seemed to have a similar look of confusion on his face Harry had.
Jason let go of her hand and garbled out "Um, I don't-"
He was cut off by a voice in the front of the bus that shouted "All right, cupcakes, listen up!"
Harry looked to the front and saw an odd looking man who seemed to be a couch. He had a baseball cap pulled over his hair, so you could just make out his beady eyes, the goatee and sour face made him look like he had eaten a piece of moldy bread. He would have looked pretty scary if he hadn't been five foot zero making Harry taller by a couple of inches.
Suddenly one of the students called, "Stand up, Coach Hedge!"
"I heard that!" Coach Hedge called out in retaliation
Regaining his composure Coach Hedge cleared his throat "We'll arrive in five minutes! Stay with your partner...
Drowning out the Coach's voice Harry tried to think, something seriously wasn't right he couldn't remember anything about himself or why exactly he was on a bus in the middle of a desert. His breathing started to get labored. Where was he? Who was he? And why couldn't he remember!
"Okay, don't panic Harry lets just list the stuff you do remember and see if that helps." Harry thought to himself breathing deep breaths.
Trying to remember anything Harry could only think of two faces and names that he could remember immediately, Hermione; a pretty girl with unruly brown hair that looked his age ( At least what he thought was his age) , and Ron; a pale boy with bowl cut style red hair.
Who were these people, were they family? Friends? Distant second cousins? Harry tried to remember but all he could pull out of his mind wiped head was Ron and Hermione.
"Harry!" Surprised Harry swung his head to his right The girl with the chocolate brown hair yelled. Wait how did she even know Harry? She seemed to know him but Harry couldn't even remember her name.
"Harry are you feeling okay? You've been breathing like you've run a marathon!" she said her voice filled with worry.
"Umm, I'm sorry but do I know you?" Harry said
"That's a funny Harry, you not knowing Piper! Oh and I bet Piper never stole that BMW too!" A tan and elfish looking boy said as he proceeded to spring out of his seat to look at Harry, Jason, and Piper eyes filled with humor.
Jason let go of Pipers hand and looked straight at Harry"You're not kidding are you?"
"Yes" Harry said "I can't remember who I am."
I Know this is short but this is just the prologue.
