I DONOTOWN SLEEPING BEAUTY, I DO OWN THIS POEM THOUGH SO NO COPYING PLEASE!
Sleeping Beauty
She sleeps her life away
preferring the nightmares in her head
than those that come with being awake..
'Twas a needle that sent her on a journey among stars
a journey that allowed her distance from the murmurs and stares
a journey that, sadly, was cut short
for the essence that the piercing metal
released onto her system was overabundant..
And, so, the beauty's journey turned to
a dark voyage among dark clouds
and treacherous waters
she fought the waves of gloom with her light
but eventually the darkness won..
And , now in black
they murmur and I'm glad she can't hear
they look at me with disdain
because I don't wear black
because I don't grieve
she didn't want me to..
And so I don't
I don't grieve or wear black
because she is, and always will be,
a bright constellation
She'd always thought of herself
as the black tainting the stars
"Black On Constellation's Gold.."
She'd quoted frequently
for it was her favorite lyric
and in my memories she's bright
and in her sleep I know she thinks of me
and in my memories I see her smiling
Finally free from the world's vicious hold..
