Attention, Ultimate Marvel Fans, attention. After two moths (one year in the comics) . . . MILES MORALES IS BACK IN BLACK! But no, seriously, Miles has finally gotten over his grief and is back to being the New Ultimate Spider-Man! Fans rejoice! If you're as much a fan of Miles Morales as I am, I bet you've heard about the mainstream one. That's right, I kid you not, it is official, Brian Michael Bendis has confirmed that there's a 616 Miles Morales! For those who don't know, there was an Xover with Mainstream Marvel and Ultimate Marvel that was titled Spider-Men, it involved the 616 Peter Parker ending up in the Ultimate Universe and encountering Miles, who had since replaced the deceased version of Peter Parker. Near the end of the fifth and final issue, not only did Miles receive the blessing of being Spider-Man from Peter, but Peter found out there was, for a fact, a version of Miles in the 616 universe. Now, I'm not saying that version of Miles should take the spotlight in being Superior Spider-Man, but I would like to see who he is for as soon as Peter Googled searched Miles, he looked shocked by the results. Is the 616 Miles someone we know, someone Peter already knows, someone important, someone good or bad? And will he be connected to the Prowler? Aaron Davis, who was the uncle of Miles, was Prowler before his death in the Ultimate universe, does this mean the 616 Prowler (Hobbie Brown) is related to the 616 Miles, only time will tell.
On a side not, I would also like to ask about Superior Spider-Man. I, in no way, mean any offense to any Superior fans on the net, but what do people see in that series?! Seriously, Octavius took over Peter's body, left him to suffer, then beaten him to death in an old man's (Doc Oct) body, and no one even cares? Yeah He promised the dying Peter he'd be a hero, but as soon as he found out there was still an ounce of Peter, who was following Octavius Swayze Ghost-style, he used a machine to "delete" him permanently from Spider-Man's body! But there's nothing anyone could do, Dan Slott is in charge of the story board. He does have some points that Peter wasn't perfect, but Captain America wasn't perfect either, he really shouldn't have compared them. I do admire some of his work, but Superior, I just think he never like Peter and was concocting a way to get rid of him. I apologize if that sounded harsh, I really do. I even hear that he's going to have Miguel O'Hara, the Spider-Man of 2099 (who's half Hispanic like Miles), go up against Octavius. I may not know how it's going to go down, but I just know Slott's going to erase O'Hara like he did Peter, only from time instead of mind. There's even going to be a team-up with Superior and Kaine, I hope Kaine beats the crap out of him, I really do. But Slott has to bring Peter back, one way or another, he doesn't have to give Pete his powers back, nor does he need to make him Spider-Man, but bringing Peter back is the one thing he can never deny.
Well, with that said, long Live Miles Morales! May he prove to be more Superior to Octavius in the future.
