"Don't you ever get lonely up here?" Green asked Red. He had returned to Mt. Silver to see Red. Of course, he had done this every chance he got after meeting up with him and enjoying the moment they shared his scarf.
"I have my Pokemon," Red said, oblivious to what Green actually meant.
"Well, you rarely have human contact up here. So, aren't you lonely since you rarely see any other humans?" Green asked concerned about his dear friend. Wouldn't that psychologically scar him? Humans need other human contact, right?
Red thought about Green's question. He did have to admit he was kind of lonely, but Green's visits made him happy. He enjoyed the moment they shared a few months ago.
"I'm seeing you, so I'm not that lonely," Red answered. Green slightly blushed at this comment. Did Red actually enjoy his company?
"Really?" Green asked and Red nodded.
Green had realized his feelings for Red ever since that moment and now he was constantly visiting him. Though, he was unsure if Red felt the same way. It was hard to read his emotions.
Once again, his visit was in silence. This always happened when there was nothing for them to talk about. Green was used to it though, unlike some people who hated it when Red didn't respond.
Green made his way over to Red, and as he did Red observed his movements. He always made sure to get a good look at Green before he left.
"Red, why don't you come down from this mountain with me?" He asked. Red thought about it, which gave Green a quizzical look. He thought he would automatically say no, but what had caused Red to actually think about this?
"Why?" Red asked. He was curious to hear Green's reason for him to go back to the outside world.
"Well…" Green didn't know what to say. What could he do to get Red off of this mountain? If only he knew how Red felt about him…
"Everyone misses you, you know? And it would be easier for us to keep in touch instead of me traveling all the way up here," Green said uneasily. He wasn't sure if this would convince him.
Red didn't give an answer. He walked up to Green, looking into his eyes.
"Do you miss me to?" Red asked, causing Green to blush again.
"Of course I do! Why do you think I visit you?" Green almost shouted this. But, then he realized what he said. He felt a bit embarrassed, but he was sure that Red would be his usual oblivious self and not take that as a serious thing.
Red tilted his head, unsure of what to think of the last thing Green said. Green missed him? It was troublesome for him to get up here…
"I guess I can go back…for a while," Red muttered. Green heard this and hugged him without thinking. Red blushed at the sudden contact with Green. When he finally realized what he was doing, Green let go of him.
"Sorry, about that," He apologized. Why did he do that? It was just the sudden joy of hearing Red say that which made him give him a hug.
Red pulled his hat down a bit so he wouldn't let Green see his face tinted red. Instead of saying 'let's go', Red just started down the mountain. A happy Green followed behind Red. Finally, his old friend, rival, and now crush was heading back home, even if it is just for a while.
