Lucy was home sitting at the kitchen table alone. Erza said she would be back soon and that was hours ago. She would have thought Erza would have at least called if she was going to be late. Lucy was worried sick. She pulled out her phone and called a few friends.

"Natsu have you seen Erza?"

"No."

"Okay thanks bye." Lucy hung up and called someone else. "Mira have you heard from Erza?"

"No, but I'm sure she's fine."

"Thank you...bye." Lucy set her phone and thought back to December. Erza had bent down on one knee before saying, 'I want you forever, forever and always, through the good and the bad and the ugly, we'll grow old together, forever and always.' Her phone rang and she quickly picked it up. "Hello?"

"Miss Heartfilia?"

"Yes?"

"There's been an accident. You need to come in right away." Lucy closed her phone and ran out the door. She got into her car and drove to the hospital. She pulled into the entrance and took a deep breath before opening the door and making her way into the hospital. She walked up to the front desk and asked for the number of Erza's room. The nurse's looked at each other and started to lead Lucy down the hall. She could hear them talking about what had happened.

"Miss Scarlet was in a terrible car accident." One nurse said. Lucy's heart clenched.

"I heard she might not make it through the night." The other nurse said. Lucy shut them out. It was hard to keep a straight face when she knew all was not well. It felt like a maze as they walked. Finally, they stopped at a door and Lucy wiped her tears away before walking in. She sat down beside Erza's bed and held her hand. Erza was pale, but had a smile on her face when she saw Lucy.

"Hey Erza."

"Lucy I'm glad to see you."

"I'm glad to see you as well Erza." It was hard for Lucy to stay so strong.

"When we get married we should have kids." Erza said out of the blue. Lucy bit back a sob and nodded.

"I would like that Erza. A couple kids running through the yard with smiles on their faces."

"I want them to look like you." Erza said with a toothy grin. Lucy laughed and held Erza's hand tighter. An idea came to her and she asked the nurses to get the Chaplin. She got up and went into the room next door and asked the couple if she could borrow their rings after she explained why she needed them. They smiled at her sadly and handed them to her. Lucy went back into the room and sat beside Erza. The Chaplin said a few verses and a few people in the room smiled and laughed as tears fell to the floor. Erza was surprised, but her smile just kept growing. Lucy looks into Erza's eyes and speaks loud and clear. Her tears were threatening to fall.

"I want you forever, forever and always. Through the good and the bad and the ugly. We'll grow old together, and always remember, whether happy or sad or whatever we'll still love each other, forever and always." Lucy bent down and placed a soft kiss on Erza's cheek right where the tears were falling. Erza opened her mouth to speak, but her words were quiet. The beeps from the heart monitor were getting slow.

"I love you forever, forever and always. Please just remember even if I'm not there, I'll always love you, forever and always..."

AN: And I tried to keep up with the song...so yeah that's how it ended T-T. Poor Lucy though. I'm sure we all know she was torn up by what happened.
