It was a peaceful afternoon in a village of Scavengers, and Rose touched her necklace and concentrated on a SkyWing. As it flashed red, she became a SkyWing. She flew up, swirling gracefully. Her heart matched her wing beats. She flew around, smiling and giggling. When her father called, she became human and ran to her house. At dinner, her father asked a question she couldn't answer. "Where do you go to?" He asked. She almost dropped her fork. "Oh father, I am sorry to answer your question with a question, but do you know the wonders of the world outside our forest?" She asked. Her father smiled. "Don't wander too far Rose." He said. She smiled. After a delicious dinner (that I shall not describe for it shall make your mouth water), she rushed to the edge of the woods. A peculiar golden light shone through her necklace. Raising an eyebrow, she followed it. A dark beam of light jumped for her necklace. The golden beam pushed it back, but the dark one was too strong. She was forced to morph into a SandWing and her sould dove into the necklace, darkness clouding her heart and brain, teeth sharp like daggers and crazy sharp claws. Her smile became a dark one as she cackled evilly, her voice changing. "I'm free at last, thousands of years trapped in that stupid gem, forced to allow that girl to transform. She's drained me of my power, some of it, but I have enough to destroy this necklace! But, I'll keep her around. She'll be a fun toy." She said. Inside the gem, Rose was a red cloud shaped as herself. She peered out of the clear gem. "How..." She asked, too weakened in this form to complete even a sentence. "I, SANDSTORM, HAVE RETURNED TO PYRRHIA!" She roared. No one heard her, but it was stupid to do that. Sandstorm flew to the desert, smiling at the eggs. "I shall once again strive to be queen of all queens, but I shall succeed, since Shadow, the NightWing who banished me, was killed by that girl's father." She said, smiling. Then she was alarmed. "The dragon hunter, I have to be able to fool him!" She said. She picked up the eggs, flying them to her cave on a rocky hill (sort of like Pride Rock) and placing them in a nest. She touched her necklace, the soul inside stumbling and becoming weak as she made a forcefield around them. "Your my power girl, I'll spare you, but only for that reason." She said. She smiled. She flew to the SandWing throne. SandWings, even the current queen Queen Sandstone, cheered. "Our queen is home!" Was screamed by everyone. Sandstone quieted the crowd. "Mother, are you sure your ready?" She asked. Sandstorm nodded, placing the crown on her head. A guard threw the crown off Sandstorm's head and placed the Ancient Crown atop her head. She smiled. "Once we join the items, I'll be all powerful." She said, tail curling around her claws. "I shall have my revenge, and we will become the dominant tribe, and we WILL steal all the eggs in Pyrrhia." She said, looking then at the guards. "Scorpion, take the guards and raid the SkyWing eggs. Their guarded too heavily." She ordered. She grabbed the gem from her throne and put it on her cave throne. And so, the terror of Sandstorm began.
