Truth Serum

Summary: When Tony spills a truth serum and it gets all over his clothes, the team learns a lot more about Tony and his secrets.

Tony was working in his lab on a truth serum for Director Fury. This wasn't his area of work, it was Bruce's, but Bruce was doing something else right now. So, Tony was a replacement. He always was, anyways. In the Avengers (he was a consultant), as the owner of the company (his father did a better job.

Suddenly, the test tube that he was holding fell, and spilled all over his clothes. "Oh no!" Tony exclaimed. Great. He was going to have to tell the truth until he reengineered the truth serum.

Tony walked in the kitchen. Clint and Bruce was there. "Hey guys, please don't ask me any questions. A truth serum spilled all over me, and I have to tell nothing but the truth." This, of course, just spurred them into action more. "What do you think of me, Tony?" Clint asked tentatively.

Tony, because of the truth serum, had to answer his question truthfully. " I think that you are a nice person who has great skills in archery, and you have good sarcasm sense. I think you also like Natasha, but without this truth serum, I would have never told you that. I also think that you are worth 10 times of me and better than me." Then Tony turned and ran, obviously embarrassed.

Clint, who had been laughing through all those words, stopped laughing at the phrase "worth 10 times of me and better than me". He then gained a confused expression. "Isn't Tony supposed to be a narcissistic?" He wondered out loud.

Tony, while running out of the kitchen, collided into Steve. Tony said, "I had a truth serum spill over me; Please don't ask me any questions." Steve asked, with a smirk on his face (for he could be cruel too), "Hey tony, I was wondering what made you hate me so much. Please tell me."

Tony, because of the truth serum, was forced to tell him while standing still. "Steve, I hate you because my father abused me. And each time, he kept on saying that Captain America was so much better than me, and that he wished Captain America would be his son against me, a pathetic piece of trash. He held broken wine bottle shards with your face on it, placed it into my hands with a sweet smile, and forced my hands closed so that the shards would pierce my hands."

He then turned tail and ran, and came in contact with his personal lab. He shut it on lockdown, to make sure nobody went in, and then he started making a cure for the truth serum. He could not, however. He broke down crying, because he had just revealed one of his biggest secrets that he would want to tell anybody.
