The Twisted Balcony Scene

by Cosette Valjean, Aly, and Jen

This was an English assignment. We were given a list of "heart" terms (i.e.~broken heart, heart of stone, etc.). We're studying Romeo and Juliet so we had to write a dialogue between them using as many "heart" terms as we could. This was on Valentine's Day, but my group didn't feel like being romantic with the characters we were given (i.e.~Romeo and Juliet) so we turned into comedians. This gets a little strange but it's good. We almost won the contest, too! Oh, yea, and I don't own Romeo, Juliet, Tybalt, or Mercutio. They're Shakespeare's. Um......... I don't own Taco Bell, either. You'll find out.

Juliet: Oh Romeo, Romeo. Oh, wherefore art thou, Romeo, with my antacids for my heartburn?

Romeo: Wha-? Oh dearheart I forgot, why do you need such Mylanta for your heart sickness?

Juliet: Well, to get to the heart of the matter, Tybalt just took me to Taco Bell and, boy is my heart heavy. **burp**

Romeo: Cross my heart, Juliet, I will travel to the heart of Verona and return with the Pepto. I've seen that you have your heart set on it.

Juliet: With all my heart I hope you return quickly. You have a heart of gold my dear man. Godspeed.

**A little while later**

Romeo: Sweetheart, why are you crying?

Juliet: I'm heart broken because Tybalt has eaten too many fajitas and has had a heart attack. He was eating to his heart's content and then suddenly he keeled over.

Romeo: My heart goes out to you, my sweet. He had a heart of gold even though he murdered Mercutio.

Juliet: Yes, yes, I wear my heart on my sleeve and right now its wondering where the heck my Pepcid AC is?

Romeo: I have it right here. I give it to you from the bottom of my heart.

Juliet: **burp**

Romeo: Wow! Juliet, that was heart stopping! **smooch** I think I'd better go home.

Juliet: My heart will be heavy until you return.

Now don't you think we should have won for creativity?! I do! Please, R&R. Even if you flame it, I don't care. My group honestly didn't work very hard on this. *-*
