Lambo was never too fond of the winter.
It was always too cold for his liking and he didn't particularly appreciate the snowballs that seem to fly towards him whenever he ventured out.
The guardian glanced outside, taking note that it barely stopped snowing since last night. The flaky gossamer snowflakes continued to pile upon one another, barricading many people within their homes or work. Lambo could not dispute the beauty the snow created, a sense of purity that seemed to calm the chaotic world but did it really have to snow that much?
Despite his dislike for the winter season, there was certain aspect that only presented itself during this time.
His bright green eyes fell on the woman sitting beside him.
Her dark pair pooled over her shoulders, streaks of blue could be seen near the last few inches of her locks. Usually bright hazel eyes closed as she held the mug of hot cocoa to her face, breathing in the heavenly aroma.
Lambo watched in anticipation. This was his favorite part.
Blowing a little on the mug, the woman watched as steam rose before taking a generous sip. A delighted sigh escaped her lips, cuing Lambo to sweep in.
Lambo smiled as his lips covered hers. Her kisses were always sweet but after she had taken a sip of hot chocolate, God, he was in Heaven. Even after all these years, he still had a penchant for sweet things.
"Mou Lambo."
Lambo rubbed the back of his head in a sheepish manner. It looked like he had been caught. Mai raised an eyebrow. She had already figured out his liking for hot chocolate kisses within the first year he began doing it. It wasn't like he was very subtle either.
With a smirk, Mai drank the rest of her hot chocolate, savoring the insanely sweet taste in her mouth for a bit longer than she usually did. Once the sweet drink trickled down her throat, she leaned in, capturing her boyfriend's lips like he had hers. Her lips still curved in the smirk, she tried something…just a tad different.
When Mai finally pulled away, she giggled at the dumbstruck and slightly ecstatic expression on her boyfriend's face. Patting his shoulder just once, she went to refill her mug of hot chocolate.
