First, I shall offer an apology. Indeed, it was perhaps a mistake to post my poetry here. I offer below, a small explanation of what modern Satanism (one form) can be. I have been reading the poetry here, at the bible section of fanfiction.net for quite some time, and found that since many people of different faiths felt comfortable to post their poetry here, I should feel just as welcome. I can say that I am a bit shocked by some of the reviews . . . I didn't expect such forceful and ignorant responses (though ignorant may be an inappropriate word, as poetry can be difficult to interpret sometimes, and upon seeing misconceptions, can easily be formed.)

I Praise Thee!
You are my sensual devotion,
Soft fingers caressing me.
I redeem in honor of your grace,
And the noble life you give.
I know no deity,
Yet I feel your presence always.
Touch me for tomorrow's night,
And let me live to see this day.
Do not fear for me,
I take full responsibility.
My respect will never taint,
But always be pure and new.
Precious to me are the gifts,
Which Anton so cleverly saw.
I follow not in footsteps,
But the compass of spun life.
I shall not indulge,
But embrace the life today!
Vitality not vengeance,
Is a desire alone for me.
Feel the earth beneath your skin,
And the human life so sacred.
Leviathan I bow before you.
Church of Satan, I praise thee!
A Short Introduction to Modern Satanism:
The beliefs, practices and rituals of the Church of Satan have almost no points of similarity with the Christian concept of Satan. The Church of Satan concept of Satan is pre-Christian (though many use the term alongside the Church of Satan), and derived from the image of power, virility, sexuality and sensuality. Satan is comprehended as a force of nature rather than a living deity. Satan has nothing to do with Hell, demons, or any sort of profound evil (though the Black Mass in which Religioustolerance.org refers to, is occasionally engaged in, mostly for publicity purposes, in which the Roman Catholic Mass is ridiculed - again, being an activity that is completely a personal choice.)
