"Karkat! Settle down! Im sure shell be fine!" Terezi was sitting on the couch reviewing some new case files for her next trials. Karkat was repeatedly looking out the window.
"Shes late!" he turned back, slightly panicking
"By three minutes" she said plainly, barely look up from her work.
"Where did they even go! How long would it take to get back! What if some-" he was suddenliy silenced by a crumpled up ball of paper thrown at his head.
"Sit down and calm down already!" she said looking over her glasses. Sighing he reluctantly sat down next to his wife.
"God, now i see where Diana gets it" he said smirking at the paper in front of her.
"Excuse me?" he asked raising an eye brow in confusion.
"You should've SEEN her before she left! You and her are such worry-worts!" She laughed. She put her papers down and looked at Karkat. "She kept asking me 'What if something goes wrong? Is my hair okay!? Oh my god I'm gonna fuck up! I know i am!" She said mimicking her daughters voice.
"I have no idea what your talking about!" He said looking away.
"You had to cancel our first date cause you puked from worry." she said flatly. Shooting her a quick glare, Karkat was a bout to retaliate only to be interrupted by Terezis cackling.
"Glad to know I'm always here for a cheap laugh" he groaned.
"Yes that's totally why I married you and had a kid with you. Cause you're a cheap laugh" she said with a smile and a quick kiss. It probably would've lasted for a little longer if there wasn't a sudden knock at their front door, sending Karkat sprinting to answer it.
"Don't scare the kid!" called out Terezi following him at an easy pace.
"Yeah yeah." he said before opening the door.
"Hey dad!" said the girl at the door, roller blades in one hand and the other hooked around a taller boy.
"Sorry about getting her home late Mr. Vantas! Traffic sure can be a bitch you know?" he said slyly, followed by a almost familiar laugh. Eyes wide when he could've sworn he heard the same laugh come from behind him.
"Oh its fine Trevor! You just had Mr. Nubs here worrying for no reason" He said look down at her husband, a sly smile on her face.
"So I'm guessing it runs in the family then!" he said almost giving the same exact expression to Diana.
"Oh shut up!" Said his date giving him a quick jab to the side.
"Oh come on! You know im joking! Take it easy!" he chuckled.
"Well either way, thanks for getting her home safe." Karkat said. The boy smiled and nodded.
"See ya around Vantas family!" He said, giving his date a quick kiss before heading off.
"You give your mom Vriska a hug for us!" Chimed Terezi as the boy got into his car.
"Diana?" asked Karkat, seeing the dumbfounded look on his daughters face, which was glowing bright red.
"Y-yeah! I-I'm fine! Gonna go to bed! Night" she said quickly, rushing inside, nearly trampling her parents.
"Night dear!" called out Terezi, wrapping her hand around Karkats waist, smiling.
"Remind you of someone?" she chuckled.
"Which one!? I never realized how similar you and Egbert's kid was! He said slamming a hand against his forehead.
"Vantas's must have a thing for crazy people" she laughed hugging him
"Don't say it like its a bad thing" he smiled, kissing his wife on the cheek.
"Never said I did" she smiled and went back to the living room to finish her work. Standing still for a moment he sighed and followed her, nodding in approval of his daughters date.
