"Rachel, where are you." Kurt called, as soon as he entered their apartment.
Rachel ran and locked herself in the bathroom, where she was sobbing hysterically. She had just gotten the worse text anyone could ever receive. Kurt heard her sobbing and kicked the door in.
"Kurt! Why the hell did you do that? That's so unnecessary, "Rachel screamed, "Leave me alone!"
"I did that because we need to talk about this, and how you're feeling." Kurt said, trying to calm Rachel down.
"I don't want to talk about it Kurt!"
"Well locking yourself in a bathroom isn't going to eliminate what happened to Finn, Rachel. How do you think I feel about this, Rachel? He was my step brother!" Kurt reminded her.
"But he was MY ex-fiancé, Kurt!"
"I know, Rachel, but you dumped him remember? And you slept with Brody too..."
"That doesn't mean, I never stopped loving him, Kurt."
"Well sorry, I didn't realize that you could still have loyalty towards someone while you're doing the deed with someone else." Kurt replied in a sarcastic asshole way (although he was not trying to degrade her emotional status through this tough time).
Rachel stood up from the toilet, walked up to Kurt, and pushed him out of the bathroom. "Bye, Kurt."
"But, Rach-" he began, before Rachel slammed the door in his face.
After Rachel turned around, she immediately began crying again.
"I can't believe he's gone," she thought, " I never even had the chance to say goodbye or that I still love him."
As Rachel was crying she started thinking about all the memories she had with her highschool sweetheart. Their "ship name": Finchel, junior and senior prom, Finn giving Rachel her own star for Valentine's Day, and of course, their first time. No matter how many times she told herself that Finn's death was eventually going to happen, she still couldn't believe that it happened so soon, especially since no one even told her what the cause of his death was.
Just then, Rachel heard felt her phone vibrate in her pocket.
From Mrs. Hummel-Hudson:
Hi, Rachel. I just wanted to let you know that the will be a service for Finn next week. Please call or text me back, if you can come. Thanks!
After Rachel read that text from Finn's mother, she decided to call her.
"Hello?" answered Mrs. Hummel-Hudson.
"Hey, Mrs. Hudson, this is Rachel."
"Hey, Rachel. It's so nice to hear from you. How've you been?"
"I've been better. I just wanted to let you know that I'll be there for Finn's service next week." she reassured.
"That's great, Rachel! See you then!"
"Actually Mrs. Hudson, I was just wondering what the cause of Finn's death was?" Rachel asked.
Unfortunately, it was too late; Mrs. Hudson-Hummel already hung up.
"Shit." she said in an irritated way.
To be continued...
