"Dan!" Phil screamed from his own room. He was starting to freak out. This could not be happening to him, he was far too young for this to be his life now. He was pacing up and down his room, stopping in front of the mirror every time just to check to see if it was still real.
"DAN! HURRY UP I NEED YOU!" Phil was now screaming as if he was being murdered, but he would gladly take that over what was actually happening.
Dan casually walked up the stairs and into Phil's room, acting nonchalant as possible will Phil was on the verge of a mini panic attack. He leaned against the door frame, crossed his arms, and let out a small giggle.
"Can I help you, sir?" Phil glared over at him before turning his attention back to the mirror. His stare was so ice cold that it could have shattered the glass.
"Will you look at this!" Phil yelled, pointing to the roots in his hair. He was just about to get ready to dye them when a single grey hair caught his attention. Dan shook his head, walking in the door reluctantly and peered down on Phil's head.
"I see your ginger roots. What about them? Don't tell me you forgot you're ginger, Phil." Dan let out another little chuckle.
"NO! That's not what I'm talking about, I'm talking about this!" He sorted through the small strands until he was able to pull up the one with the small amount of grey.
"Oo. Phil's getting up there. One grey hair now, soon we'll have to find you a home." Dan wasn't really sure what Phil was freaking out about. He dyes his hair anyway so it doesn't really matter.
"It's GREY, Dan. GREY! What am I going to do? I'm still young. Hell, I act like I'm seven half of the time. This shouldn't be happening to me." Phil backed up until he could sit down on the bed and put his head in his hands. "I'm going to have to get my life in order. I'm getting older everyday, Dan. I'm wasting time like this! I need to settle down, get a real job, and have a family. It's too late, isn't it? ISN'T IT!"
Dan had to hold back laughter as he sat down next to Phil. He wrapped an arm around him and held him close. Phil was always there when he was having life crisis, the least he could do was help Phil now.
"I was just joking. It's just one hair, love. It doesn't mean anything. Just because your body is getting older, doesn't mean your mind has too. You don't have to do anything except keep being who you are. You're only 26. You have at least 60 plus more years to do all those things." Dan's had ran up and down Phil's arm, knowing it would help to calm him down.
"Just dye it like you always do and remember that your appearance has nothing to do with your mind and personality. I will love you no matter what. Even when you're wrinkled and grey all over."
Phil started to calm down and was able to lift his head up enough to gently give Dan a kiss.
"Thank you. I know I'm over reacting, but I'm allowed. You freak out over everything."
"And that is why I'm here to help. I'm an expert in existential life crises." Phil let out a little giggle and pulled Dan down to lay on the bed. He snuggled up close to his boyfriend's chest and smiled.
"I love you. I hope you don't leave me for someone younger now."
"Never."
