"Okay." Sherlock said, staring at Molly.

"What?" Molly replied, stunned that Sherlock was actually talking to her.

He barely ever talked to her, and if he did, it was usually to insult her in some subtle way. Never had he said something as simple as "Okay." to her, we that expression like he wanted an opinion. Molly had worked with him(more like put up with him), for the past 20 years. She was there at his funeral for the death that never really happened. She had wept over him, for she was in love with him. Even though he was always horrid to her, she was indeed in love with him.

Sherlock knew this. He knew she was in love with him. Obviously. He knew almost everything about her. How and when she did everything. Just a minor flaw of being Sherlock Holmes, knowing everything. The way she acted around him pointed out clearly, that she was interested. He hadn't realized it until that one Christmas day, though. That Christmas she got him a present. Ever since then, he's noticed everything about her.

It was a weird thing. He never really noticed her before that. He never really thought about Molly, the girl who helped him out in the morgue. The girl who did things for him, even when he knew she wasn't supposed to.

He always thought he was just really convincing.

But since that day, he's cared about her more than everyone but John.

In fact, he may care for her as equally as John.

Because that Christmas was the first time he really felt sorry for anything, especially for speaking his mind, since he was a child.

"Okay. Tell me what you think." the minute long silence was broken as Sherlock spoke.

"Well, um. I don't know, I suppose..." as she explained what she thought about the man who had died from supposed natural causes, Sherlock became extremely aware of how intelligent she really was.

"Right. Good job." He stopped her as he stood.

"Good job?" she asked, surprised that he wasn't correcting her.

"Yes, good job. You got almost everything right. Wonderful work." he said as he leaned down and kissed her.

"I guess all the years of working with you have really paid off." she said, catching her breath. She was so shocked she was almost crying.

"Yes, I suppose they did." He chuckled, kissing her again.
