Thinking...

I looked up at the clouds. I was thinking. Ah, thinking. What a simple thing. You can think
while hurt, sad, scared, lonely, tired, or even...in love. Yes, that was how I was thinking.
With love. Yet it was forbidden love. Well, it wasn't common. True, I could love Sora, or Mimi.
But I didn't. I loved another.
I was fifteen. It had been a couple years since we had left the Digital World. I missed
Gabumon. I missed the sense of togetherness I had with my friends. I missed being alone with-
with certain people. I missed the excitement- the passion- that we had put into battles.
I felt a hand on my shoulder. Who could it be? I wondered. I turned around and looked
into the face of Tk.
"Hi Matt. I was looking for you." he said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Well, you just seem, I dunno, closed off. What's wrong?" Tk questioned. I looked at my
half-brother.
"It's love, Takeru. You wouldn't understand." I replied.
"I do too understand love, Matt! In fact, I wanted to ask you what you thought of me
dating Kari!" he cried. I was stunned. My little brother, Tk, in love. The Digimon experience
had matured him.
"Go for it, Tk." I smiled.
"Ok!" Tk grinned. "Now will you tell me why love is affecting you?" I walked to a nearby
bench and sat down. My little brother sat down next to me.
"I- I have a crush on someone." I admitted, for the first time aloud.
"Who? Sora? Mimi?" guessed Tk. I shook my head.
"I probably shouldn't me telling you this, you're to young, but... I love Tai." Tk
appeared shocked.
"I didn't know you were like that Matt." he said.
"I didn't either until we left the Digital world. It's not weird or anything, it's just
that I like boys instead of girls." Especially this boy, I added silently. Tk nodded.
"Are you gonna tell him?" he asked, fully accepting the fact his brother was gay.
"Yeah," I answered, "C'mon Tk, we'll go on a double date!" I laughed. Tk giggled and we
set off torwards the Kamiya residence.
I knocked on the door. Mrs. Kamiya answered. "Are Tai and Kari home?" I asked her.
She nodded and let us in.
"Tai, Kari, your friends are here! Now, I've got a doctor appointment. I'll be back in an
hour!" Mrs. Kamiya left. Tai and his sister appeared in the hall.
"Hi Matt." waved Tai. Kari only blushed.
"We need to talk." I said. He led me to his room.
"About what, Matt?" I took his hands.
"Taichi Kamiya, I- I love you."
