Natsuki Kuga had been dealing with a lot recently. She was nineteen, but was still in high school because saving the world from various villains was more important to her than getting good grades. Since her role as a hero was a secret she couldn't tell her principal or teachers the truth so she had to repeat the last year of high school. She was pretty upset about it.

Natsuki quickly went to the library to return a book that was five days late. She handed the book to the librarian and said, "I'm sorry about giving it back late."

The uptight librarian replied, "How typical of you to be late. This is one of the main reasons why you had to repeat a year."

Natsuki angrily said, "The reason I had to do that is none of your business."

Yuuichi Tate walked by while Natsuki and the librarian argued. Yuuichi was nineteen too, but he had to repeat his senior year because of some bad grades. Yuuichi liked Natsuki and he was foolish enough to think that this was a good time to ask her out. He gently tapped Natsuki on the shoulder.

Natsuki angrily asked, "What do you want?!" Yuuichi tried to hide under a book shelf. Natsuki sighed and said, "I didn't mean to scream at you. Plus your hiding spot isn't very convincing."

Yuuichi nervously said, "Hi Natsuki. You look pretty today."

Natsuki replied, "Um, thank you. Can I help you with something?"

Yuuichi tried to sound confident while saying, "Yes. I've been trying to get someone to go to the dance party with me. I asked Mai, but she told me that I'm lame."

Natsuki felt a little bad for Yuuichi so she patted him on the back and said, "Don't worry Yuuichi. I'm sure that there's lots of girls who would like to dance with a nice guy like you."

Yuuichi replied, "Thank you Natsuki. I appreciate it."

Natsuki said, "I need to get going. Goodbye."

Yuuichi replied, "Okay. Have a good one." After Natsuki walked out Yuuichi said, "I'm so bad at asking girls out that."

The librarian said, "This is one of the main reasons why you're so unsuccessful." Yuuichi and the librarian started arguing with each other.

Natsuki entered the Student Council room to visit Shizuru. Shizuru said, "Greetings darling."

Natsuki replied, "I would appreciate it if you didn't call me such embarrassingly cute names when we're around other people."

Shizuru said, "No need to be so formal honey. Nobody else is here."

Reito Kanzaki replied, "I'm actually here." Shizuru signaled to Reito to get out.

Reito walked out and whispered, "I'm finally done with that stupid school work for the day. Now I can continue my evil plans." Reito did an evil laugh.

Meanwhile Natsuki said, "I'm sorry that I came later than I said I would. I had to argue with the librarian for ten minutes to get her to forgive me for being late about a silly book. Then Yuuichi showed up and was acting all weird."

Shizuru replied, "He's sweet, but pretty abnormal."

Natsuki said, "I'm glad that this day is almost over."

Shizuru replied, "The school dance is coming up soon."

Natsuki sighed and said, "Indeed it is."

Shizuru replied, "We should go. We've never been dancing together."

Natsuki said, "Yes, but -" Natsuki paused.

Shizuru played with her hair while saying, "You're still embarrassed to be dating me."

Natsuki said, "No, I'm not." She paused again and said, "Well, I've never dated anybody before. It's a little scary."

Shizuru giggled and said, "You've saved the world from dozens of villains without fear, but being in love freaks you out?"

Natsuki said, "I'm embarrassed to admit that, but you're right about me."

Shizuru replied, "You're so unique. There's no need to be scared about it sweetheart. Being in love is fun, not stressful."

Natsuki said, "Okay."

Shizuru asked, "Will you go to the dance?"

Natsuki answered, "Yes."

Shizuru smiled and said, "This is wonderful news we're going to have a great time."

Meanwhile Reito got a call from his news boss, the Obsidian Commander. Reito asked, "What's going on boss?"

The Obsidian Commander said, "You must get rid of Natsuki in order for us to rule the world."

Reito said, "I've been working on a potion that'll poison her. It'll be ready by the night of the dance."

The Obsidian Commander replied, "Excellent news. Natsuki's going to have the most poisonous dance ever." The Obsidan Commander did an evil laugh.

A few days later Natsuki started walking to the school dance while wearing a blue dress. She wore regular sneakers, because she thought that high heels were uncomfortable. On her way there she bumped into Shizuru who was wearing a fancy white dress. Natsuki said, "Hi Shizuru."

Shizuru replied, "Hi sweetheart."

Natsuki asked, "How do I look?"

Shizuru answered, "I thought that it wan't possible for you to look more beautiful, but you keep finding ways to impress me."

Natsuki blushed and said, "Thank you."

Shizuru asked, "How do I look?"

Natsuki answered, "You look like the most lovely person I've ever seen."

Shizuru said, "I appreciate the darling words." She kissed Natsuki. Natsuki's face started looking red from how much she was blushing. Shizuru asked, "Are you going to do that every time I kiss you?"

Natsuki said, "It's just embarrassing tonight, because there's people around. What if anybody saw that?"

Shizuru replied, "They would know that I love you. Is that a problem?"

Natsuki said, "No." Natsuki and Shizuru finally arrived at the school dance.

Yuuichi went to the dance by himself. He wore a white tuxedo that he got at Goodwill. He was hoping that he could find a girl who had no dancing partners. He saw Natsuki and said, "Hi."

Natsuki replied, "Um, hi. What's going on?"

Yuuichi nervously said, "I couldn't get a dancing partner."

Natsuki replied, "I'm sorry."

Yuuichi asked, "Did you come alone too?"

Natsuki said, "No."

Yuuichi replied, "Do you have a boyfriend?"

Natsuki said, "Not exactly."

Shizuru walked by and said, "Natsuki and I have been dating for a while now." Natsuki blushed.

Yuuichi said, "Oh, I'm sorry. If I had known that I wouldn't of tried asking you out for the past few months."

Natsuki asked, "Did you ever ask me out?"

Yuuichi answered, "I tried to, but I'm so bad at this."

Natsuki said, "Shizuru, I feel bad for him. May I give him a friendship dance?"

Shizuru replied, "Sure. That's sweet of you darling. Just make sure you save the last dance for me."

Natsuki walked up to Yuuichi and said, "I'll dance with you."

Yuuichi got excited and asked, "Really?"

Natsuki answered, "It's just a friendship dance, nothing romantic."

Yuuichi said, "Okay." Natsuki and Yuuichi danced for five minutes. Even though Yuuichi could barely dance without bumping into people and objects Natsuki was nice enough not to complain.

After the dance was over Yuuichi said, "Thank you for the dance."

Natsuki responded, "You're welcome."

Shizuru asked, "Are you ready to dance yet honey?"

Natsuki said, "I just need a drink first."

Reito walked by with a cup filled with the poisonous potion. He said, "You should have this drink."

Natsuki looked at it and said, "You're not fooling me. I know that has poison in it."

Reito responded, "There's not a single drop of poison in it."

Natsuki asked, "Can you prove it?"

Reito pretended to take a sip. Natsuki angrily stared at her. She was ready to attack him. Reito ran out of the school. After running for five minutes he was exhausted so he accidentally took a sip of the poisonous drink. After realizing his pathetic mistake he said, "Oh crap."

Reito called the Obsidian Commander and said, "I accidentally took a sip of the poison."

The Obsidian Commander asked, "How dumb are you?"

Reito answered, "More than I thought I was."

The Obsidian Commander replied, "It'll take a long time for the poison to wear off." Reito started whining. The Obsidian Commander said, "Well this is the end of our partnership."

Meanwhile Natsuki walked up to Shizuru and said, "I made Yuuichi happy and saved myself from getting poisoned so I'm ready to dance with you."

Shizuru replied, "Wonderful." Natsuki and Shizuru stared at each other with smiles on their faces and started dancing. Natsuki was a little embarrassed and danced a little awkwardly at first, but she eventually started dancing really well.

Natsuki said, "I'm sorry that I'm not a very good dancer."

Shizuru replied, "I could care less about your dancing skills. It's your big heart that matters to me. You sprinkle everyday with sunshine."

Natsuki said, "Yeah right."

Shizuru replied, "I exaggerate, but you do bring me happiness everytime you visit me."

Natsuki said, "I feel the same way." After Natsuki and Shizuru finished their long dance the announcer told them that they won the dancing contest.

Natsuki asked, "We won?"

The announcer said, "You two danced so much longer than anybody else that the judges decided you should win."

Natsuki said, "I didn't know that this was a dancing contest."

The announcer replied, "It wasn't originally going to be that, but I got sick of watching Lelouch Lamperouge dance like a goofball."

Shizuru said, "Congrats Natsuki."

Natsuki replied, "You deserve all of the credit. You're the good dancer, not me."

Shizuru said, "I had a very special time with you."

Natsuki smiled at Shizuru. She had never kissed Shizuru in public before, but this time she wasn't scared. Natsuki kissed Shizuru.

Shizuru said, "It seems like you aren't as scared anymore."

Natsuki replied, "My love for you is more powerful than any fear."
