Just for a Day
Relena placed her hand on the window of her apartment. Down below the younger children of the neighborhood were playing kickball. A smile touched her lips as a fond memory came back to her. When she was younger she had loved to play kickball….

A young girl with honey brown hair stepped up to the plate. Her friends all cheering her on. The ball was rolled and she kicked it with all her might and started running. First base. Second base. There she stopped as the ball was thrown to the pitcher.

I made a home run for my team.
I caught a few balls too.The truth was. Relena was one of the best players on the kickball team when she was younger. Whenever the school would play a game, she was one of the firsts to be picked.
I wish I could go back to those days. When I had no troubles, when I wasn't queen of the world.
She turned away from the window and went back to her desk where a stack of papers sat.
I wish for one day I could play like that. Just for fun, with no worries of losing or something like that.
At that moment the ball flew through her window. It startled her at first, seeing the glass all over the floor, but the next second she found her self-laughing. She threw on some of her old clothes and took the ball down to children.
" May I play?" she asked a boy, returning the ball to him.
" Sure." He replied.

She ran. The ball whizzed by her as she slid into home plat. A cheer ran out from the Queen of the World's team. She was lifted high in the air, for they had won the game.
