Gold used Taunt! "Crys, I'll bet cha ten bucks I can reach the ship first!" He ran across the paved road to the S.S. Aqua. The captain was taking the DexHolders on a special little cruise from Olivine City up to Canalave City in Sinnoh as a thank you for saving the world several times.
"Gold!" Crystal used ExtremeSpeed! Crystal's Speed rose sharply! Crystal defeated Gold in race!
Gold used Pay Day! But it failed! "Oops! Forgot I was broke after that bet with Silver. So can I –OW!"
Crystal used Mega Kick! It's super-effective! "Gold! Don't go around betting stuff you can't pay back!" She then walked away with a dazed Gold and a surprised Diamond.
"Is this normal, Senior Ruby?" asked the boy.
Ruby, with a practiced casual glance at Sapphire, sighed, "I guess so seeing as how everyone else is acting as if it didn't happen. I haven't really hung out with them yet."
"Hmm…" was his on reply as the rest was muffled by food.
At the ship…
Gold used Soda Pop! Gold's health rose? "Wow, Super Serious Gal got stronger since the last time she kicked me."
"Oh and when was that?" asked Pearl.
"Earlier this morning," Pearl fell from his chair out of Gold's denseness.
"No wonder, seeing as how she uses you as a punching bag," (A/N a punching bag can also be kicked at, right?) said a snickering Blue as she was admiring the water.
"Humph! You guys aren't helping me!" Gold left the top deck and went below.
Gold used Charm! But it failed! "Crystal, come out and watch the Luvdisc. I hear that meeting one means that our relationship never ends!"
Crystal activated Oblivious! "Since when did we have a relationship?"
Gold used Nasty Plot! Gold's Special Attack rose sharply! "Fine, if you wanna be that way…" He sneaked off to do some planning.
Later…
From behind the potted plants, Blue watched as Gold's plan set into action.
Crystal walked up to Gold, unaware of the near-invisible trip wire. "Gold, you know we should get ready for dinner, the others will wonder-Ah!"
Gold caught Crystal! "Wow Super Serious Gal, either you got lighter, or I got stronger."
Crystal became Speechless! "Um…wha… Gold…"
Gold used Sweet Kiss! Crystal became Confused!
"How'd you like that, Crys?"
"Ah…Gold…Well, we should go get ready for dinner…"
Crystal couldn't seem to stop blushing until after dessert.
Meanwhile, Blue couldn't stop smiling from all the blackmail she could get from the scene she recorded.
