Just me drabbling a bit. It's kind of bad, 'cuz I just wrote it spur of the moment. I'm to tired to really go through and edit it all that much...

Kratos had established four thousand years worth of rules and regulations to live his life by. When something was added it was rare that it was discarded from his mind. He could not allow himself to not follow these rules since they had allowed him to survive this long.
Still, after so many thousands of years he couldn't help but wonder what it would be like if he could just stop following these rules and for once just live without rules or regulation. Even though he thought all of that it was hard to fight such ingrained habits and thoughts.
So when he met Anna and broke one of those rules he thought that this was the person that could stop his compulsive rule following. He fell in love with her the moment he broke that first rule to never get close. He was doomed to love a mortal the moment he grabbed her hand and ran out of the human ranch with her. After two years with Anna he realized that even the person he loved more than anything else he had ever encountered he couldn't break four thousand years of thoughts.
Then Lloyd came into his life.
Ever since the moment he was born Lloyd became the exception to almost any rule and the reason behind every added rule Kratos had.
Kratos swore he'd never love anyone more then the world. Even Anna he didn't love enough to sacrifice the world for but Lloyd he would do it without a second thought. He would do anything to have his son smile like he did.
Kratos didn't like to initiate contact or to have someone touch him. He never wanted to let go of Lloyd and he loved it as Lloyd reached out for contact with him with his small little hands. He loved holding the small spiky haired child so much that sometimes when Anna had to… feed him… Kratos wanted to hold him while it happened.
Kratos didn't allow himself to feel emotions. Anna could only bring out such slight emotions that he didn't realize what love realize was until he first held Lloyd. He had loved Anna for the soul reason that for the first time in thousands of years he broke a rule. He loved Lloyd the he saw him and he had never before felt a love so deeply rooted in his core. This was a small little part of him and it was so pure and filled with life and promise.
Kratos didn't smile. Still all Lloyd needed to do was look at him and he couldn't help but smile and laugh at the child's face.
Kratos didn't run from anything he knew that he could win regardless of others. Still, he would grasp his wife's hand and hold Lloyd close to him protecting the spiky haired toddler from any gruesome sight they passed.
Kratos wouldn't hurt Anna. Still he killed his beloved wife in order to protect Lloyd from her monstrous form.
Kratos didn't have emotional outbursts. Still, he couldn't remember any other time in the past four thousand years he had screamed and cried when Lloyd and Noishe fell off the cliff as he fought of various Desians.
Kratos wouldn't waste his time doing pointless things. Still, he spent days searching below that cliff for Lloyd desperate to find his son. He looked and looked until Mithos himself came to pick him up and bring him back.
Kratos wouldn't hope for the impossible. Still, he prayed that his son was out there with Noishe living happily even without him.
That's why when Kratos met Lloyd again he felt himself relax for the first time in fourteen years as the restraints that kept him bound to his rules loosened and shattered.
Because Lloyd had always been capable of the impossible from the moment he was born.
