Yuki took off his glasses, rubbing tiredly between his eyes. Putting them back on, he reached for his cigarettes. Taking one, he lit it, inhaling deeply, and slowly exhaling as he tried to center himself. Rumors were beginning to surface about him and some supposed relation with his editor, no doubt cooked up by his publicist to cover up the fact he was in a homosexual relationship Shuichi. Damn him and his distorted sense of duty, we all know I'm gay, so why hide it…? Yuki thought bitterly. Although, he thought wryly, it's more believable than my new relationship with that pretty pink haired girl… His sardonic smile broadening into an amused one, Yuki recalled their dinner last night their favorite restaurant.
Shuichi, late from his photo shoot, had not even bothered to change into street clothes. So when they met, Yuki remembered commenting on how girly he looked, something Shuichi brushed off. He laughed, thinking back to the time Shuichi had actually cross-dressed in some misguided attempt at proving his love.
Yuki took another drag on his cigarette. He stared at his laptop screen in a vain attempt at trying to write, but his thoughts kept coming back to Shuichi. The thought of his lover sitting there, curled up on the couch, crying his eyes finally got to him. Yuki put out his cigarette and got up. Leaving his study, he walked into the living room and sat down next to Shuichi. Lifting his arm, he waited patiently for his lover to lean into him. When he did, Yuki said, "Don't be stupid… we both know that girl was you, and if it wasn't, you're the one I come home to every night."
"Oh, Yuki… you really do love me!" Shuichi hugged him.
They kissed.
"Yeah…" Yuki said huskily…
