this is a short crossover between Mass Effect & Red vs Blue

and this is like a slight ship between Solana Vakarian & Antoine Bitters but it is in the friend zone at the moment

this is really short and sorry the name of this short story isn't perfect, and well this chapter might not be perfect either

but I tried my best and this is just going to be one chapter, anyway hope some of you enjoy.

she couldn't believe Bitters, he was late for their daily patrol

"so help me if he is lazying around in his office with a half eaten doughnut I'm going to kick him where the sun don't shin as humans would say."

Solana Vakarian, was partners with the human named Antoine Bitters

but he puts his whole species to shame with how lazy he is and how he never takes his job as a law enforcement seriously

when Solana moved to his planet with her father and a few other turian and other species families to Planet Chorus

(heck even some batarian and quarian moved), she thought that it would be a good idea to join the law enforcement of Chorus

she was at the moment the only turian so far, but she has heard that some quarian and asari were going to be let in after they finish basic training

at the moment Solana Vakarian was marching down the hall past the humans

"oh hey Sol, what's up? you seem peeved anything I can help with?"Matthews asked as he saw her while holding some paper work in his hands

at the moment he wasn't wearing his sand with yellow trim armor, he was just wearing a yellow dress shirt and dark orange pants with a loose yellow tie.

"Matthews, where is Bitters..."Solana asked but she had a feeling she already knew the answer as she thought to herself "as if I didn't know..."

"oh yeah Bitters, he's in his office said something about taking his lunch break...wait a minute lunch break was five hours ago, why would he be taking it at this hour?"

"thought so...thank you for the assist Matthews, I can handle it from here."Solana said as she walks past him and head to where Bitters's office was

while Matthews calls back "sure anytime! and don't forget Palomo and Jensen's wedding is next friday!"

as soon as she reach the front door of the office she kicks it open, even if it was just a sliding door it open when she kicked it anyway

which shouldn't be possible but let's not question what doesn't make sense about it and focus on the soon to be argument of the female turian and male human.

"Lieutenant Antoine Bitters! you better have a good excuse as to why you weren't at the meeting place where we were suppose to go on our patrol or else I'm kicking your sorry..."Solana said

but was cut off when she saw the mess all over Bitters office, it had cans of empty bee and half eaten pizza boxes here and there, and of course like she had suspected seeing

a half eaten doughnut which was laying on his chest as he sleeps while music plays...thanks to the translator she had she could understand the music

it was the song called baby come back by some human band called Player she believed, as she took a step forward she step on something

she looks down and moved her foot up and saw a picture of Bitters and Jensen.

"don't tell me he still isn't over her choosing Palomo over him..."Solana thought to herself as she picks up the picture frame and places it on a near by table

"Bitters!"when he didn't respond she let's out a sigh and walks over to him and slaps him on the side of the head which in turn seem to do the trick because now he was wide awake

"what? what?! I'm up, I'm up...oh hey Vakarian whats up? it's not time for our patrol yet."

"actually it's 10 hours past, you were late so I came here to get you...and I see your in mourning at the moment."Solana said

"am not..."

"Bitters...no, Antoine as your partner and acquaintance I need to tell you that you really need to let this go and move on...Jensen is with Palomo."

"but I loved her first! and he just stole her away from me! he stole my chance to confess my feelings for her...typical Palomo screwing things up for the rest of us."

"listen here Bitters, I know your not happy but you can't keep blaming Palomo for taking Jensen away from you when she wasn't even yours to begin with! you had many chances to tell her how you feel

even before those reds and blues came to help you in that war you and everyone told me and the rest of the aliens that came to settle here on this planet, you had the chance to tell her you were in love with her but you didn't and you lost to Palomo who had the same feelings for her

you have no one else to blame but yourself, you can either move past it and find someone else or you can keep wallowing in your own self pity about how you blew it with Jensen."

when Solana said all that to him, he clenches his fist while laying back in his chair still, he then sits upright and grabs the half eaten doughnut off his chest and looks at it for a moment before throwing it clear across the room

the doughnut hits the wall on the other side of the room and sticks to the wall.

"don't you think I don't know. I could of told her but I was too..."

"shy?"

"no."

"too full of pride to confess?"

"no."

"then what? what reason kept you from confessing to Jensen about your feelings for her?"

"I was scared okay!"Bitters said as he looks up his partner with tears in his eyes "I was scared of her rejecting me, and I was right to be...because I know she would of rejected me for Palomo...it's pretty clear she liked him from day one too."

Solana never saw Bitters cry like this before, yes she had seen him cry before but nothing like this

though he told her that if she told anyone else he would deny it, because apparently men don't cry...

no matter what the species males will always be stubborn.

Solana place her arms around the crying man and gave him a hug "it's gonna be okay, you'll find someone new one day but until then I'll be here if you need a friend to talk about it with."

"how about I take you out for dinner my treat."Solana says softly with a smile

"thanks, I could use some grub."Bitters said with a half smile but it fully dropped when he hears her say

"right after you clean up your pigsty of a office."

"oh come on! can't I do that after we get back?!"

"sorry no, you either clean this office up or go hungry your pick."Solana said as she starts to the door

"but that could take all day!"

Bitters whines out as Solana opens the door but this time uses the button to open it, as the door slides open

she said "not all day, just maybe around three hours...that will give us plenty of time to head out to that nice restaurant, but tomorrow we are going on that patrol even if I have to drag your sorry butt across the pavement."

then she left, leaving Bitters to clean his office...

"forget this, I'm going to get Matthews to do it for me."

but no sooner had those words pass his lips, Matthews comes in and says "hey Bitters, Solana told me to tell you she will be waiting by the hover car but for me to come tell you that she forbids me in helping clean your office for you, okay bye!"Matthews said

before leaving back out the door

leaving a very frustrated Bitters who now couldn't trick Matthews to do his work for him because of Solana Vakarian

"no matter what the species all women are the same."Bitters said as he slowly but reluctantly picked up his garbage off the floor

while thinking to himself "that dinner better be worth it."
