The Black Rose

The black, dark rose glittered as the moonlight danced through the dew drops gathered on its bloomed petals.

The deadly thorns sharp and seemingly ready to pierce the porcelain skin of an unsuspecting child trying to pluck the flower.

The rose looked sweet enough to cherish, yet dangerous enough to keep at distance. Such beauty and mystery was rarely seen by the human eye, only found by worthy adversaries.

The rose gave off an hypnotizing fragrance that flowed through the wind like a beautiful dancer. Its petals felt like the finest of satin, its roots strong and reliable to bestow the beauty in a lovely manner.

Overall, this flower was a wild monster that no one could ever tame. Yet while it seems this rose is immortal, an indestructible beauty, it could never last forever.

A crushing noise unsettles the calm atmosphere, a boot crushing the lush grass, stopping at the black rose.

A haughty man with an evil glint in his eyes is the owner of the boot.

"The New World!" He chuckled, "I shall become the richest man in the world with all of the untouched gold!"

His gaze moved to the rose, still standing proud in his presence. With a smirk, he stomped down the rose and continued down into the valley below.

The black rose was completely crushed by the large boot, and its petals and stem were dew looked like tears as they fell down into the dirt.

No longer would the black rose look over the valley,

No more would it bestow its beauty to the forest.

All hope seemed gone, and as the last bit of life was about to leave the rose, a small hand wrapped around the rose and picked it up.

The young child who owned the hand carried the broken flower down the hill. The boy had a gentle smile upon his face.

He took care of the rose until he could plant it again. During the flower's stay, many more roses were born and created a beautiful garden of roses.

There were so many magnificent colors mixed within the garden that none knew where to look.

In the center the first rose of this garden, was the back rose, back to its former beauty and loveliness.
