A.N: Just a little Brallie one shot I wrote whilst listening to Ed Sheeran's new album. I really love the song Photograph and so of course as you already know I don't own it nor did I write it blah blah blah etc. Let's just pretend Brandon wrote this song, for the sake of fanfiction! Hope you enjoy it :)

He sings it to himself sometimes when he's alone. Callie's song. Their song. Our song. Outlaws.
Brandon still loves her, of course he does, he thinks he always will and he probably will but they can't be together. Not now. Not ever. At least not as long as they both live under the same roof, not as long as she's still getting adopted. But he still has hope. Hope. As long as he has hope, it's gonna be okay.
From the accidental brushing of their legs at breakfast, to the little smiles shared when they pass by one another, or the fact that they still look at each other like they're in love. The band he's in like his song, Outlaws, they don't know who it's about but he's sure they can make a good assumption.
They've asked him to write another song, if he wouldn't mind. He agreed. Now he's sitting here staring at a blank page, unable to form words that would make a beautiful song, he's lacking a muse. He's been sitting here for an hour and nothing comes to mind until he sees her and now he sees it, the truth staring him right in the face, Callie is his muse.
Brandon starts writing and he can't stop, the words scribbled on the page make such perfect sense, they fit together so well.
Loving can hurt, loving can hurt sometimes
But it's the only thing that I know
When it gets hard, you know it can get hard sometimes
It is the only thing that makes us feel alive
We keep this love in a photograph
We made these memories for ourselves
Where our eyes are never closing
Hearts are never broken
And time's forever frozen still
So you can keep me
Inside the pocket of your ripped jeans
Holding me closer 'til our eyes meet
You won't ever be alone, wait for me to come home
Loving can heal, loving can mend your soul
And it's the only thing that I know, know
I swear it will get easier,
Remember that with every piece of you
And it's the only thing we take with us when we die
We keep this love in this photograph
We made these memories for ourselves
Where our eyes are never closing
hearts are never broken
And time's forever frozen still
So you can keep me
Inside the pocket of your ripped jeans
Holding me closer 'til our eyes meet
You won't ever be alone
And if you hurt me
That's okay baby, only words bleed
Inside these pages you just hold me
And I won't ever let you go
Wait for me to come home
Wait for me to come home
Wait for me to come home
Wait for me to come home
You can fit me
Inside the necklace you got when you were sixteen
Next to your heartbeat where I should be
Keep it deep within your soul
And if you hurt me
Well, that's okay baby, only words bleed
Inside these pages you just hold me
And I won't ever let you go
When I'm away, I will remember how you kissed me
Under the lamppost back on Sixth street
Hearing you whisper through the phone,
"Wait for me to come home."
Now all he needs is a perfect melody. Somehow, he already knows where to find it, what he has to do and where he has to go.
The song is complete.
