The Doctor finally realized why inviting a drunk man to a road trip across time and space was a bad idea, as Simon stammered around and screamed,
"Come at me, you little buggers!" as they were stranded on a warzone with killer robots armed with machine guns closing in on them by the second.
OCTOBER 20, 2014. THE STRIKERS' PUB, MANCHESTER, ENGLAND
Simon Weldefeller-Schmitzen stammered out the doors of a dilapidated but packed pub with 2 beer bottles in hand and one stuffed into the hood of his sweatshirt. Inside, about 120 men were crammed into the couches near the crummy television set showing the Manchester City-Tottenham match, with a few men brave enough to sit themselves on the rat-infested floor. Simon was kicked out after he screamed in rage after Tottenham conceded a goal and then smashed a beer glass against a patron's head and predictable noise. Now, Simon was sitting on the curb, draining his bottles and drunkenlysinging football chants. Some time later, he heard a wheezing and groaning noise, and a blue box materialized in front of him. Out stepped a man with a black coat, a striped bowtie, and a pointy chin. The man suddenly exclaimed, "Hello! I'm the Doctor! How are you?" Simon did not know who this man was, but his drunken brain took a crack at it. Simon slurred, "Are you a time traveler?" The Doctor grinned and said, "Why, yes! You're quite a smart cookie, then!"
Simon then had an idea, and said, "Youre probably from the 60s, right? Cuz you have a police thingy and I saw that in a museum once." The Doctor, still not realizing this man was intoxicated, sighed, and said, "Nice guess, I think? Well, anyway, I made a promise to myself to take the next person I see on a "Road Trip" across time and space! Do you want to come along?" Simon, drunk as ever, replied, "Well, sure. I haven't gotten anything to do, anyway." The Doctor, still not noticing that Simon was intoxicated, happily cried, "Well, fantastic! Just step into that blue box I came out of!"
