Prologue: Our Demise
Our demise… was truly expected; yet… it didn't seem to matter how we failed, rather that we just did. It didn't matter who the traitors were, who did what wrong, it was clear right from the beginning that we would fail.
How could've anyone expected the chaos and disorder that would threaten the very existence of a peace made long ago? Then again… how could anyone realize that it was us that were bent on destroying the peace for our own selfish goal? No it wasn't our goal… it was theirs'.
I remember it like this; we are the ones who are neither associated with Darkness nor Light, we are the ones who walk along the line of twilight. It should've been simple to pick up; twilight is used to separate the difference between night and day… yet… we never picked up on the fact that twilight plays a bigger role than we thought. We played a bigger role than we were told…
For the time though, we survived on scattered dreams… surreal images to convey our past life, to make sense of why we were there… but yet… we didn't understand that there was more to us than a body and a mind… we didn't even begin to comprehend that what we were getting involved in would risk everything.
Even their goal… of obtaining a heart…
