I knew I should be afraid but somehow I wasn't. I was happier than I had been in four years, four long years that easily felt like a whole lot longer until this moment. Edward was here.
It didn't matter that he was the hunter and that I was the prey. I didn't care because he came back even if it was just to bestow my death. I could feel his hand wrap around my wrist and even for just a second he was mine and I was his.
I couldn't find it in myself to scream as his teeth bit into the flesh at the base of my throat. I knew it would be over soon and I looked into the eyes of my own personal angel and let the words I had been holding back for four years escape my lips.
