Just a brief teaser/intro to the Doctor Who screenplay that I'm currently working on. Hopefully it's enough of a teaser to get everyone into it. Please feel free to review.

INT. A dimly lit room. The air is thick and dusty. Navy flowered wallpaper peels from the walls, large strips hanging to the floor. The hearth stands adjacent to the large curtained windows. A gold framed mirror rests on the mantelpiece, cracked and covered in dust we see little of the room reflected through it. Darkness seems to emanate from the corners of the room, shadows through the small pockets of light. Gathered around a large antique table, stood stately in the middle of the room, are nine dark figures almost undistinguishable from the darkness. In the candle light we can see their hands, grubby and disgusting. Long nailed fingers clasped together form an unbroken chain. The faint sound of rain can be heard on the windows. In the centre of the table sits a glass orb, in the orb we see distorted features, twisted smiles and blank eyes. No one makes a sound, no one breathes, the tension is palpable. The walls seem to close in as this tension rises. There are murmurs escaping from everyone's lips but nothing is distinguishable. Indistinctly there is the whirring of the TARDIS, the murmurs stop and everyone looks around. As the volume increases the figures look up to the chandelier as the glass bulbs shatter sending shards of glass crashing to the table below. The figures push themselves away from the table to avoid the shattering glass hands gripping the hard wood furniture, there is the distinct whisper of shattering mahogany. Eyes trained on the centre of the table we can hear hurried prayers echoing at such speeds they seem almost a blur. The TARDIS crashes on to the table and with it the room plunges into silence as all the figures stare in shock at the big blue box on the table, faces lit only by the blue light of the TARDIS. After a pause the door of the TARDIS opens just an inch or two shining a stripe of bright light onto the tattered wall paper, but this light is quickly blocked by a shadow. Figures fall to the floor as they tear their eyes away from this new centre piece. Running towards the door one figure struggles with the heavy brass knob on the heavy door, unable to enable their escape. The figures cower beside the door just as the DOCTOR pops his head through the entrance of the TARDIS. He stares at them, confusion forming on his pale face, and he slowly steps out of the TARDIS and looks around the room focusing on all of the eyes staring back at him. Straightening his Bow-tie and stuffing his hands deep into the pockets of his trousers, he rolls on the balls of his feet.
THE DOCTOR:
Ah… Yes. I'm interrupting aren't I? I don't suppose you could point me in the direction of a stray Nun could you? Ugly looking, big teeth, likes to pray a lot, old as well, they're always old…
As he speaks he holds his index fingers and thumbs to his mouth imitating the size of the Nuns teeth. They all stare at him in bewilderment. He looks around awkwardly before continuing.
THE DOCTOR:
No I don't think so. I'll just…
Quickly he spins around on the spot before pausing, and pulling the door of the TARDIS closed to lock it. Pocketing his keys, he turns back to face the figures cowering by the and rubbing his hands together he observes the room wearing a mischievous grin.
THE DOCTOR:
Well… this looks exciting.
