Home of the Dinosaurs
Luna woke in a field of brightly colored flowers in the middle of a forest. She was certain she remembered going to bed with Hermione, and they didn't live anywhere near a forest…
There was a rustling noise behind some bushes and she scrambled to her feet, inching closer to the shrubbery curiously. Her hand reached the pocket of her pajama pants for her wand, but it was gone.
The rustling continued until a green face popped out; big blue eyes staring out at her.
She squealed and jumped back in surprise, but the creature seemed friendly, sniffing at her as it came fully into view. It didn't look familiar as something from Fantastic Beasts or anything her father had described. If she didn't know any better, she'd say it was a dinosaur.
It was almost as tall as she was, and green and white all over. It had a human stance and was green and white all over, except for the red saddle on its back. It turned its back on her and waited until she got the hint and climbed on.
They ran through the forest with Luna's hands clasped around the creature's neck to hang on.
"Hermione's never going to believe this," she muttered as they left the trees behind.
There were rolling green hills in front of her, scattered with more flowers and galleons thrown all over the place. There were more creatures she'd never seen: small two-legged things wearing goggles and six-foot tall polka dotted plants with teeth.
Luna's dinosaur, whom she'd decided to call Maeve, weaved through the deadly plants, collecting coins and flowers and eating the strange goggled creatures as they ran.
Soon they had reached a safe clearing with another dinosaur – this one pink. Luna dismounted Maeve, her pockets weighed down with coins and her hands full with the large bouquet of flowers her new pet had collected for her.
Suddenly the ground began to shake, sending Luna to the ground and her flowers flying through the air. She closed her eyes, dizzy from the shaking.
"Luna?"
That was strange. There didn't seem to be any people around – maybe Maeve could talk!
Luna carefully opened one eye as the shaking continued, only to find the clearing and dinosaurs gone. Hermione was lying beside her in bed, roughly shaking her arm.
"You were talking in your sleep," the brunette said, brushing strands of hair away from Luna's face.
They sat up in bed and Luna frowned at their bedroom, faintly glowing blue from the television screen.
"I was having a lovely dream," she said, pouting. "I had a pet dinosaur named Maeve and she brought me flowers and galleons, and we were going on an adventure with another dinorsaur-" Hermione's laughter stopped her.
The older girl got up from the bed and shut off the dusty old Nintendo machine Luna had left on when she'd gotten into bed.
"That's the last time I let you play video games before bed," Hermione said, kicking at a game cartridge.

So I've been playing a lot of Yoshi's Island lately. It came out in like 1995 or something, but it's addictive and I couldn't think of any current games I'd know as well.
