The slytherins were often picked on and ridiculed, mainly by the gryffindors. Their parents often complained to the school, but no one ever actually did anything about it, seeing as the parents were the reasons behind the bullying. Slytherins role in the last wizarding war played a huge part in how their children would be treated. No former death eater was allowed anywhere in the wizarding world and their children were sent to get school supplies by themselves or with older siblings. Slytherin was no longer on top of the food chain.
And I, Lily Luna Potter, was sorted into Slytherin.
To say both houses were shocked would be an understatement. I've never seen Albus so angry, my brother James nearly hexed Professor Longbottom, and all my cousins were outraged. The Slytherins all seemed to realize they had their own way to get back at the Gryffindors: me.
It started the second I took off the sorting hat and sat down at the Slytherin table.
