Fallen Feeling
It isn't the fall that kills you; it's the landing. At least, that was the first though going through everyone's head the first time their vehicle gets damaged and they are sent spiraling down thousands of feet above some random terra.
The first time Aerrow began falling, he was fearless, unnerved, and looked like there were no other pleasures in the world. But Radarr was the best co-pilot a guy could ask for, and was soon there to save him from his plummeting.
Piper's Heliscooter gave out once during a test run, and she could never relive the rush. She came back to The Condor after the Heliscooter gave one more loud pop before it came back to life again, shaking wildly and going immediately to her room.
Stork only began to plummet once, testing a new part on one of the new air skimmers. Aerrow had The Condor ready, as Stork had commanded anyway. He was scarred ever since.
When Finn falls, it's a ravepartymixhorrormovieclichésketchcomedy all wrapped into one. They wanted to laugh, because Finn was a riot, and usually fell for careless mistakes and would shake it off later. But then they remembered, he was falling.
Junko was always ready with his air skimmer to come to the rescue; cliché as it was.
When Junko falls, which is as often as the others, Finn or someone else is usually there to catch him.
Falling isn't as scary now. Accidents happen; that will never change.
It isn't the fall that kills you; it's the l a n d i n g.
A/N: I dunno, falling from thousands of feet seems a little scary, doncha think?
