As Magnus opened his eyes to a crisp, fall morning, he could feel Alec's body warmth close to his own as he wrapped his arms closer around Alec. The rhythmic sound of Alec's breathing and heartbeat made Magnus' heart skip a beat. Magnus laid there a few moments longer until he felt Alec stir and open his eyes.
"Good morning," Alec said tiredly.
"Morning." Magnus replied with a grin on his face.
Magnus was still in a state of bliss after what happened last night. They had only been on two dates and hadn't known each other for a lengthy amount of time, but he knew in his heart that it was the right thing. He wanted more than anything to be with Alec that way, to make love to him. But he also didn't want to lose Alec by rushing into anything. Alec's reassurance made Magnus feel warm-hearted and quite honestly, a bit turned on.
As for Alec, he had been thinking about being with Magnus for several days. Just the thought of it gave him butterflies. The feeling was so strong, it overtook him and he couldn't stand it any longer. And it was better than he imagined. He always thought he'd have to hide his feelings, and yet here he was, dating Magnus Bane.
Suddenly Alec was brought back down to earth as he heard his phone go off. Probably a text from Izzy he figured.
"Wait, what time is it? I have to get to the Institute." Alec said.
A look of disappointment came over Magnus as he replied, "Oh."
"I'm, I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. Were you really afraid I was gonna go?" Alec asked.
"No."
Alec couldn't think of anywhere else he would rather be than in Magnus' arms. As they held hands in bed together, Alec blurted out the words, "You're so beautiful."
Alec never wanted Magnus to ever feel ashamed of his cat eyes. Magnus smiled and leaned in closer to Alec and kissed him slowly as he softy ran his hand up Alec's arm and touched the skin there, leaving a trace of blue sparks and leaving Alec feeling mesmerized.
Once they got up and moving for the day, Magnus conjured some delicious belgium waffles and two steaming cups of coffee.
As they sat enjoying breakfast together, in between kisses, neither of them couldn't think of anything better.
Magnus, finally letting all of his guards down, and opening his heart completely to this young Shadowhunter. Who finally was beginning to accept who he is. And that made Magnus feel so incredibly special.
And Alec, who never thought he could be this happy. And yet, here he was. He would do everything in his power to make sure Magnus was never hurt again. Because Magnus made him feel like the only person in the world that mattered.
Alec left shortly after breakfast to go to the Institute, but not before kissing Magnus goodbye and thinking to himself, "I could do this for the rest of my life and I would be the happiest man alive."
