Hey everyone. This is one of my 'what-if' one shots, and you have to connect the dots. So, here's hoping you like it.
Moonlight Secrets
Dean laid next to Jo, on the soft throw, staring at the blank night sky, the crescent moon highlighting his face. He sighed, and Jo wondered whether it was relief, or sadness.
"Dean, you know I love you."
He sat up slowly, and looked at her and said, "I know you do. I love you too." She too now sat up and rested her head on his shoulder. "Dean, I have to tell you something."
A million thoughts flashed through her mind.
That morning, she'd met Sam at the roadhouse.
"Good morning, how're you today?" She'd asked him, with a cheery smile on her face. He'd smiled back, and told her how they were going to find a werewolf that night.
She'd nodded at the time, and left him alone for a while. When she came back, he was still sitting on a barstool, with no one around, his back to her. Quietly and swiftly, she'd taken out her knife, and made a dash for his back. He'd turned around in time, and she'd stabbed him a few times. Not to kill him, but to hurt him. But in her mind, she convinced herself it was he who walked into her knife, not the other way around.
After bruising him, she'd picked up his bloody pulp and taken him to the warehouse. She'd tied him up there. She waited for him to come to his senses, only to torture him more. "Why are you doing this?" He asked her, out of confusion and fear. She dryly answered, "Why do we do all the things we really do, Sam?"
She'd gone to the roadhouse, and fetched some rock salt. And then, to agonize him more, she'd spread it over his wounds. She smiled as he had writhed in pain, and then, become unconscious after a while.
But now she was here with Dean, under the moon, in his embrace.
"What do you want to tell me, Jo?"
She pointed to a far off distance. An old building stood out against the background, behind it a farm of sorts. "You know what that is?" She asked him, hugging him a little tighter. He raised an eyebrow and said, "No, what is it?"
She didn't say anything for a minute. Then she whispered, "It's where Sam is." Dean looked confused, but he had been wondering where Sam had been all day. "What do you mean?" He asked her.
And then, in a matter of seconds, the warehouse burst into flames. A cloud of dust erupted into the unadulterated night sky, and Dean stood up immediately, Jo leaving his arm. "Jo, where is Sam?"
She stood up too now, grinned and said, "Sam is no more, Dean." And in that second, her eyes shone an inky black.
Anyways. Thats all. Please tell me what you think...
