Dragged from reality
The NX01 ENTERPRISE was on a vital mission. The crew and captain was on edge only 2hours from their destination their mission to help the Vulcans defend their selves against the Romulan fleet. The last information report from Starfleet command said "the Vulcans have lost half of their fleet and the Romulans keep growing in strength." The enterprise was 1 hour away when a spatial vortex opens right around the ship. The immense vortex impacted the hull, but it caused no damage to the ship but some crewmen vanished into thin air. The spatial vortex kept growing until more than half the ship was filled of the matter from the vortex; the crew mirrored the ship more than half gone. But no one knows where. Captain Archer repeatedly sending out distress calls but the communications officer says "there is too much interference from the vortex our communication can't get through." The remaining crew are panicked and concerned about their predicament. Captain Archer consults his science office "Captain there is nothing we can do I have never seen a spatial anomaly even similar to this I couldn't even speculate how to stop." Captain Archer said "then I suggest you think of something. QUICKLY!" The spatial vortex has nearly reached the bridge, only the crew and captain on the bridge still remain the rest have been killed or in another domain not worth speculating. Topal searches and searches the Vulcan database but it mentions nothing about any spatial vortex matching the one on scanners. The crew are baffled and just out of time. The bridge crew vanished and leaving an empty ship.
The crew contained within the vortex, but the crew were replaced with another ship's crew. The spatial rift wasn't just a special rift it was a rift in time. All the crew were sent to a future ENTERPRISE captain kirk and his crew.
