Starstruckdreamer1: I've had this crazy idea for a while. We'l see how it goes.
Amethyst opened her door to the main room. She quietly tiptoed through the room and checked to make sure Steven was still asleep before she activated the warp pad. When she got to her destination she immediately changed into her wolf form. She padded off of the warp pad and surveyed her surroundings.
She was pleased to see nothing had changed. She took a moment to sniff the air. She could smell the fresh scent of trees, the clean smell of water, and her…..pack! Her eyes opened as she started following her packs scent. She followed the scent to a clearing where some of the wolves were trying to hunt down some deer. Not wanting to distract them from the hunt she continued until she saw a valley.
There she saw the rest of the pack. The other wolves were immediately alerted to her presence. They barked at her in greeting and gave a slight bow in respect. She was the Beta of the pack only second to the Alpha who was walking up to her right now.
Her alpha was a dark black wolf whose underbelly was slicked with grey stripes. She also had one white paw. The alpha nuzzled her in greeting then she turned her attention to the wolves who had just got back from the hunt. Amethyst followed her gaze.
The hunting party was successful! The alpha let loose a joyful howl in celebration. Amethyst followed her lead and pretty soon the whole pack was howling! After the pack ate she went inside one of the dens and laid down.
She watched the pack from within the cave for a couple of minutes. This is where I feel at home Amethyst thought to herself. Then, she laid her head down and started to fall asleep.
She woke up a couple of hours later to a strong scent assaulting her nose. It took her a moment to recognize the scent and when she did her eyes snapped open in alarm.
There was a bear very close to where she was. Her eyes scanned the opening of the cave before she got up to look outside. The other wolves were further down the valley from where she was. She howled to warn the others of the threat before she started to look for the bear.
Her ears picked up the sound of the bear's paws crushing some leaves. Her eyes shot toward the part of the valley that was outlined with trees. She growled in warning her eyes never leaving the area.
She heard the Alpha and some other high ranking wolves come up behind her just daring for the bear to come in to the clearing. Apparently, the bear decided they weren't worth the trouble and left the area. They waited a few moments to make sure that the bear really did go away before they went back to the rest of the pack.
As they walked back to the pack Amethyst took the chance to look at the sky. Her eyes widened and her blood ran cold. It was almost night time here which means it's about to be daytime in Beach City. The rest of the gems were about to wake up.
She took off running through the forest to the warp pad. She howled to the Alpha signaling she was okay before she transformed back to her normal form and jumped on the warp pad.
When she got back ot the temple she was happy to see no one was awake yet. She sighed in relief before she went to her room and lay down on one of the many mattresses in her room.
"Where were you?" A voice asked from above her. Her eyes opened to see Garnet.
