Hey! I have a short song-fic for y'all, and it's of my favorite song!
Nudge: I don't know. This song is kinda sad, I like happy songs, like that gummy bear one, and the Crazy Frog one, and the Barbie Girl one, and fun songs like that, which you don't own, cause the songs you write are sad, and you dont own me, or Max, or Fang, or any of it. Which is sad too.
Me: Okay, let's just start.
It started out as a feeling
Which then grew into a hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
Which then turned into a quiet word
She was perfect, and it only started as a small feeling that kept growing, nothing made it smaller, just bigger, or less strong. I couldn't say it loud at first, I wasn't used to it.
And then that word grew louder and louder'
Til it was a battle cry
When I said it loud, I was rejected. It hurt.
I'll come back
When you call me
No need to say goodbye
I would come back in 20 years, saying good-be would've made me come back sooner. I can't do that.
Just because every thing's changing
Doesn't mean it's never been this way before
All you can do is try to know
Who your friends are as you head off to the war
The war was all the time, she was my best friend. I knew this would break her heart, but she was strong.
Pick a star on the dark horizon
And follow the light
I was following the stars, my heart hurt to much to follow.
You'll come back
When it's ove
No need to say goodbye
I could only hop she'd forgive me and me in 20 years.
You'll come back
When it's over
No need to say goodbye
It might be over, now that I'm gone she could end it.
Now, we're back to the beginning
It's just a feeling and no one knows yet
But just because they can't feel it too
Doesn't mean that you have to forget
It was a feeling, a strong one. The beginning was better than leaving, and I just couldn't shake anything from my head anymore.
Let your memories grow stronger and stronger
'Til they're before your eyes
Memories couldn't fade either. Nothing would fade.
You'll come back
When they call you
No need to say goodbye
You'll come back
MWhen they call you
No need to say goodbye
I was regretting. So much it hurt. Maybe I should've said good-bye…
My mind was filled with hurt and loss as I carved into a tree with my pocket knife. In the end the tree held the message:
Max+Fang Forever
There you go. It's not my best work, but I like it.
Oh, Nudge went to get ready. We're meeting our teachers at middle school today, and she's a little worked up now that I reminded her. I better get ready too. Bye y'all!
