Love is.. such a marvelous thing. Like a friend, that one person you have always heard about but haven't met yet. Then one day he came and for someone it's just expected, wanted, waited, you were already fantasizing about him, picturing the day you will finally meet, harboring a secret intimate connection, like exchanging letters in the sweetest time of the day. So when you finally meet, you feel happy, complete, it is almost natural to recognize his gaze and curl up his being, hugging him, letting him in. For others instead, it is just a surprise, is that same friend that stays in the house while you are sorting out your life, dealing with things, planning your days and then at some point he slaps you in the face letting you snap out of your world and telling you "Hey I'm right here, what about notice?" You feel astonished at first, even trying a way out of the room. You were fine alone when you didn't know he was there and now it seems he is taking all the space. Wherever you turn your head he is there, looking at you, expecting you to start a conversation that you really don't know how to handle. Couldn't he leave you alone? You were arranging your stuff and now everything is upside down. He is intrusive, nosy, noisy now that you knows he is there and, now that you know, you start to feel exposed "How long were you here?" "Were you already here while I.." "Yes I was" "And while I.." "Yes I was" "Did you see me doing this and that?" "Yes I did" "I even asked you to" So what can you do? Just try to figure out when the hell he came, how he entered. Did you open the door? You don't remember the bell ringing. Then a doubt appears in your mind.. had he something to do with what I was doing? "Yes I did" And you look behind, trying to understand the moment he came, you look at yourself differently now that you know he was there, every action you made from that moment on was affected by his jumbo presence. How the hell did you miss all of that? The moment you re-open your eyes he is still there and the room seems more comfortable now that you know that he was by your side for all the time. He is not a stranger, he is what makes you feel at home.
