I planned on this being a one-shot…. But I might turn it in to a short story... Idk you tell me what you think!

Murder wasn't all she wrote

It's been two whole years since Kagome had passed through the well sealing it for good, but that doesn't mean she didn't miss them. It wasn't like she could call them or write them letters because they would both fall on a dead end never to be returned. The summer breeze was warm, silky in kagome's hair, lying on her back in the grass she watched the clouds drift by. Thinking back on all the adventures and near death experiences she's been through, it put a smile on her face, gosh how she missed the racing of her heart or the pumping of adralene in her veins.

Pain of longing for her friends pierced her chest making her close her eye's tight, Kagome thought closing her eyes would keep a lid on the box of overflowing memories, but sadly her past life friends were waiting for her behind her eyelids. All of them sad and heartbroken but they knew this moment would come. Kagome rolled on her side flattening the grass with her right cheek, while tears became dewdrops on them. "Why does it have to be like this?" she whispered, choking on the backed up sobs in her throat.

Kagome's family was becoming more and more concerned for her, watching her mope around the house was painful but there was nothing they could say to make her feel better. Hours she had came home for the day her mother came to her when she was sitting on the shrine steps after dinner, she didn't say anything at first just let her presence settle, soaking in the their closeness . Tilting her head back to the sky Kagome's mother sighed "Well It's about that time to give you that "much needed" advice that mothers give at these times" she confessed

With out even looking at her mother, the greatest human being in the world, Kagome half heartedly laughed " It ok mom I don' think I need that advice yet" Her mother just closed her eyes and smiled, knowing her little girl was avoiding the conversation. Turning her body toward her daughter she took Kagome's chin in between her for finger and thumb, bringing her face around to look her straight in the eye. Kagome stared into the warm depths of her mother's eyes, such a caring motherly gaze. " Always know Kagome to never run from a problem that's hurting you, were all here for you" With that her mother kissed her forehead , standing up she dusted off her apron and walked back to the house.

Pushing her hair over one shoulder, Kagome stood up as well but she didn't make her way to her home. Walking down the steps she made for the sidewalk, 'maybe a walk will refresh me' she thought hopefully. With one last look at her house she started off, sorrowful and pained she let her feet take her on her own adventure.
