Lio Junior loved the seasons he loved spring, warm summer nights and bright fall leaves. He even loved winter and the snow. One January when the snow in Crosslake Maine laid deep Lio Junior was especially happy. Because something was going to happen that would change his life forever.
Lio Junior was make lions out of snow. Soon his friends came down. "Last I checked there are only 3 lions in you family. Whose this?" Crawler asked.
"That's not a lion that's me." Shellout said.
"Nice try Shellout but there are 4 lions in my family I mean there is going to be 4." Lio Junior said.
"You mean?" Skywing asked.
"My mom is going to have a sparkling." Lio Junior said.
"When is the sparkling due?" Tusker asked.
"In the spring." Lio Junior said.
Everyone but Shellout danced around and sang out. "Big brother Lio Junior!" Shellout was upset.
But spring was in no hurry. January gave way to February that gave way to March. Lio Junior was worried. He was worried if spring is late if the sparkling would be late. His father explained the sparkling will come next month whether does not.
His mom told him the story of the maned knight. At school they were going to do something for spring. Lio Junior suggested they do the story of the maned knight as a play. Everyone liked that. Lio Junior was going to play the maned knight.
The sparkling shower was no fun for Lio Junior he began to think adults even his mom and dad love sparklings more. Lio Junior decided to find the specail cherry blossoms and bring spring to get his parents attention. Shellout went with them. Then they met two young human kids. The older sister explained that babies can't do much for themselves and his parents will have enough love for him too. After the kids left Shellout told him he was worried that after Lio Junior became a big brother he won't be his friend anymore Lio Junior told him that would never happen.
Lio Junior proved himself to the cyber finch in the tree he was worthy and he took the blossoms.
He made it back home and tried it but it didn't work. His mom explained that maned knight was only a story. But then Shellout found a flower and they saw a blue bird. Sure enough spring came.
Lio Junior did well at the play.
"Lio Junior truly believed you were the maned knight." His teacher said.
"He put his whole spark into it." His grandma said.
"Oh my it's time!" Lionia said.
"It's time?' Lio Convoy asked.
"Oh my word it's time." Grandma said.
"Time for what?" Lio Junior asked.
"The sparkling Lio Junior!" Lio Convoy said. "Dr. Santon? It's time." Lio Convoy said.
Santon and Lio Convoy were helping Lionia to the car. "Mom?" Lio Junior said.
"We see you soon Lio Junior." Lionia said.
"Don't worry Lio Junior they'll be back soon you're going to be a big brother." His grandma said.
Lio Junior was worried. They have been gone a long time. His grandma took him on a walk. On the walk they saw a shooting star. "Make a wish." She told him.
"I wish to see my parents again tonight." He said. They got back to the house and the phone rang.
"Come on Lio Junior we are going to the hospital your new baby sister has been born." His grandma said.
At the hospital. Lio Junior saw his little sister. "She's so small." Lio Junior said.
"But she'll get bigger just like you did." Lio Convoy said.
"What's her name?" Grandma asked.
"Lot's of ideas." Lio Convoy said.
"I know let's call her Jungle Jewel after great aunt Jungle Jewel. She looks just like her." Lio Junior said.
Lionia and Lio Convoy looked at each other they liked that idea. "Jungle Jewel it is." Lionia said.
Lio Junior gave her his finger. "I'm Lio Junior. I'm your big brother." He said.
