"Happy Valentine's Day Mira-chan!" A pedestrian on the street greeted cheerfully.

"Bite me, you old fart." She retorted shocking the older gentleman. Normally Mirajane wasn't so coarse with people outside of the guild but today just so happened to set her off. Valentine's Day was the day where couples expressed how much they loved each other and when others confessed their feelings to apple of their eye. Gifts were exchanged whether it was one-sided or by both parties and Mira had gotten plenty. Being the attractive young woman she was and being well known through her photo spreads she had gotten numerous amounts of fan mail. Some simply wished her a Happy Valentine's Day, some wished for her to be their Valentine and others wished for her to marry them. Aside from the numerous letters she had also gotten flowers, chocolates and even jewelry. Even some of the men (and women) in the guild had given her a gift or two and she in return gave them one out of common courtesy. However what truly pissed her off was that once again she had not been given a gift or shown any form of affection from the only person that she gave a damn about besides her family. Her sister and sworn enemy had gotten gifts from the little twerp but she was always left empty handed by him and she was sick of it. One way or another she would get her Valentine's Day present and make him notice her all in one. Mira always believe that there are three types of people in the world: people who make it happen, people who watch it happen and people who wonder what happened. No matter what she was going to make this Valentine's Day the best ever, even if it kills them both.

"Natsu~" Said dragon slayer tore his attention away from his meal to come nearly face to face with his childhood friend Lisanna. The smile on her face could light the whole room up and she seemed to be in even higher spirits today.

"What's up Lisanna? What's that behind your back there?" Natsu asked curiously as he craned his neck to see what she held only for her to move away from vision.

"Ah ah ah, no peeking until I get my present" Lisanna teased. Natsu gave her a confused expression making the young girl sigh in exhaustion.

"Natsu don't tell me you've forgotten again." She groaned.

"Forgot what?" he questioned.

"Natsu, what day is today?"

"Thursday, duh" he said bluntly. Lisanna sweat dropped as well as grow a tick mark at his answer.

"You're half right, but what holiday is today. Look around the guild!" She took one arm from behind her back to make a sweeping motion to the guild's interior. Natsu looked around the hall to see numerous pink and red streamers and banners saying Valentine's Day. There were even hanging caricatures of a baby in a diaper holding a bow and arrow.

'Oooh, Valentine's Day. Huh, how'd I forget already?' he thought. Turning away from his plate Natsu put his fingers in his mouth and whistled startling Lisanna. In a few seconds time, Happy came from across guild's kitchen with a large box in hand.

"Happy Valentine's Day Lisanna!" the exuberant cat exclaimed while perched on Natsu's head.

"Yeah what he said." Natsu smirked at the surprised face his best friend had. The smirk would turn into a scowl when the girl launched herself into his chest while continuously saying 'thank you'. He gave her a few pats on the back while looking around the guild to make sure Elfman, and god forbid, Mira were anywhere around.

"Ok ok, let up a bit will you? It's not that big of a deal, I get you a gift almost every year." Lisanna stood away from the fire mage with his gift still hidden behind her back.

"Yeah I know, but I thought you forgot this time. It wouldn't be the first that you have." She countered.

"Hey I didn't even know what Valentine's Day was, Igneel never taught me about that. What dragon would?" Lisanna giggled at his reasoning but couldn't help but see the truth behind his words.

"Well still, I'm glad you got me something. And I also got you something." She took her hands from behind her back to present a dark red dragon plushie. It was about the same size as Happy with three horns sticking out behind its head and its bat like wings jetted out to the side. Its underside was beige in color and the rest of dark red with its eyes black as coal. Natsu held his breathe at seeing the toy and couldn't help but feel a twinge of nostalgia. The toy looked similar to Igneel in many ways and he couldn't help but reach out for the doll.

"Thanks Lisanna, it's so cool. It looks like a mini Igneel!" He gave her a thousand watt smile which had the effect of making the silver haired female blush.

"Well I've heard your stories about Igneel so many times that I thought this would be the perfect gift. I'm glad you like it!" She said happily.

"Like it, I love it!"

"What are you gonna call it Natsu?" Happy questioned.

"Hmmm, ah I know. I'll call him Igneel Junior! That sound good Happy?"

"Aye!"

Lisanna laughed at how adorable her two partners were acting but when the doors of the guild were kicked open all commotion in the guild stopped. She saw her older sister standing in the entrance menacingly with her eyes glowing red and a dark purple aura cascaded around her. Sweat trickled down the necks of all the guild members in the hall as they wondered what could've upset the demon on a day like today. Mira scanned the guild hall for her target and finally found him near the bar. However once she noticed the plushie in his hand and the box in her sister's her mood seemed to get even worst as her aura turned from purple to black making some members scream in terror. Her eyes locked onto his and before Natsu could make a swift getaway he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"Where do you think you're going Lizard Boy?" Natsu gulped at how sweet her voice was in his ear. She never spoke like that unless she was wanted something or was extremely pissed and he couldn't figure out what she could possibly want from him besides seeing him cry or what he did to upset her. Before he could question her Mirajane pulled on Natsu's scarf effectively dragging the younger male behind her towards the guild's entrance.

"Hey hey, wait-Mira! Happy, Lisanna help! I'm being kidnapped! Gray don't just stand there and laugh you asshole help a guy out!" Natsu screamed to everyone and anyone who could help him in his hour of need but no one would come to his rescue. Not when the Demon of Fairy Tail was around. When she pulled on him Natsu accidently dropped his dragon plushie. Lisanna went to pick it up and when she looked up Natsu and her sister were gone. But as soon as she they left her sister's head reappeared through the doors making the members jump in surprise.

"Don't worry Lisanna I'll bring your little boy toy back, I just need him for a few hours! See ya at home." And just like that she was gone again. The others could still hear Natsu's complaining from the outside but when they heard Mirajane scream and what sounded like a loud clap, Natsu's voice went silent.

"Wonder what all that was about." Cana was the first to speak up after watching the whole event. She was drinking some chocolate flavored vodka she got from a secret admirer and immediately stopped to observe the show of Mira dragging Natsu kicking and screaming.

"Flame brain probably did something stupid and pissed Mira off. What else could it be?" Gray gave his own answer to her question as he sat down next to her. He took a swig of her vodka but soon coughed harshly as the liquor burned his throat. Cana snatched it back and gave the ice mage a good swat to the back of the head.

"Light weight and don't take what's not yours!" she scolded.

"Tch sorry." He grumbled.

"(sigh) Anyway, you may be right but I think she had another reason why she took him. I agree she did look pissed but I don't think it was because Natsu did something to her. She looked like she wanted something from him." Cana explained.

"What do you mean?" Gray asked.

"If you have to ask you don't need to know." She smirked at him and took another swig from her drink. She got out of her seat and walked up to Lisanna all the while ignoring Gray's complaining about what she was talking about. Cana took a seat next to the youngest Strauss at the bar and slung an arm around her shoulder.

"You ok Lisanna?" The younger female gave her a small smile but her eyes betrayed her.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I guess I'm just worried about what Mira-nee needed with Natsu." Lisanna turned back to look at the gift she gave him lying on the bar counter. Happy was nestled in her lap wrapped in her arms and he rubbed a paw comfortingly on her fore arm.

"I'm sure he'll be alright. Natsu can deal with anything!" To solidify his point he thrust the same paw into the air in his signature style.

"Hehe the cat's right, Natsu will be fine. Besides it didn't look like Mirajane would do anything to hurt him. Well besides the fact he went silent after a while, I don't think she'll do anything else." Cana tried her best to cheer her friend up and it seemed to be working as her expression seemed to get a little brighter.

"Yeah I guess you guys are right, but I still wonder what Mira-nee needed Natsu for." Lisanna said while looking at the door. Cana did the same and thought what on Earth Mirajane Strauss needed Natsu Dragneel for on Valentine's Day.

"Ok you little turd time to WAKE UP!" With a hard slap Natsu Dragneel was brought back into the land of the living. He whipped his head around to find his surroundings and when he felt and saw the solid wood door behind him he knew where he was.

"What the hell Mira!? You drag me out the guild and knock me out just to take me home! I could've done that without you and the concussion!" Natsu's outrage earned him a swift punch to the head leaving him writhing on the ground in agony.

"Shut up you idiot! I brought you hear for a reason." Mira said crossing her arms below her large chest. Natsu looked at the older women in confusion. What reason would there be to bring him home? He was tempted to question her sanity but the steely eyed glare she was giving him gave pause to any words coming from his mouth.

"Don't just sit there like an idiot, get up and go get your money, we're gonna be late!" Mira demanded. Natsu looked at Mirajane like she grown a second head and it was speaking a foreign language. He needed to do what and they were what?

"What the hell are you on about?" Natsu inquired. He stood up straight and gazed right back at Mira damned the consequences. Mira gave her best death glare and although it made Natsu shake like a leaf he stayed rooted to his spot. Frustration building Mira let out a breathe she didn't know she was holding and turned away from the dragon slayer to hide her reddening cheeks.

"We're going to hang out today." Natsu went wide eyed at the statement. Since when did he agree or even ask Mirajane Strauss to chill with him. And why today of all days?!

"Uh, ok but why do I-!"

"Because I said so, now go get a few jewels before I knock you into the next town capiche!" Mira screamed.

"Aye sir!" Quick as lightning Natsu went into his house and took a few hundred jewels from out of his safe. He ran back outside to see Mira leaning against a tree. She saw him in the corner of his eye and turned away as she made her way down the worn path that lead to his house, Natsu hot on her heels behind her. When he finally caught up he decided to ask what she had planned.

"First you're taking me shopping, then we're going to the movies and then to this nice restaurant that I saw a few days ago. Then we're going through a walk in the park and you're taking him home, got it?!" Natsu jumped at how forceful she sounded. He gave a quick nod in return and just looked ahead.

'Man I gotta do all those things today? I just wanted to sleep or do a mission. Strange though, all those things sound like we're going on a date.' The word echoed in Natsu's mind. All the things that Mira listed were normally things people did on dates if what Lisanna told him were true. Though if what Mira had planned was in fact a date, why on Earth would she want him to come along.

"Hey Mira, can I ask you a question?"

"What is it?" she snapped.

"Is this a date?" The second he finished his sentence, Natsu was sent flying down the sidewalk as they had just made it back into town. Groaning in pain Natsu held his throbbing cheek and swung on his attacker.

"What the hell was that for, I just asked a question?!" Natsu raged.

"Y-Yeah and it was a dumb question! A-a d-date, h-h-how the hell did y-you think of that?!" Mira countered looking away swiftly. For a second Natsu swore that her face was red but dismissed it as him seeing things.

"Because aren't those the type of things people do on dates!" Natsu yelled back matching her intensity.

"…?" Mira was speechless. She hadn't been on a date in her life, mostly because she turned most offers down and others she simply just scared away due to her attitude. However despite how socially inept she may be in terms of relationships, she knew a thing or two on what to do on a date thanks to the romance books she 'liberated' from Erza's dorm room one night when she tried to find good blackmail material. Mirajane was baffled that Natsu could piece together her plan so fast but she figured that it was probably Lisanna who told him. The two were joined at the hip and she was more than positive to assume that the younger female would educate Natsu on how relationships worked since she was his 'wife'. The mere thought caused Mira to feel bile come up in her throat but she brushed those thoughts aside. Her plan may have been uncovered that didn't mean that wouldn't happen.

"No, it's not a date, it's completely different. We're just two good friends hanging out around town and having a good time in each other's company. Nothing romantic about it." Natsu looked at her with a bemused expression on his face.

"What's with that look, idiot!?" she hollered feeling uncomfortable at his gaze.

"I've never gone on a date with Erza or Lisanna or Gray…"

"I hope to God you haven't with that stripping dumbass! And didn't I tell you this isn't a date?! Do I need to hit you again to make you remember that?!" Natsu shook his head swiftly, eyeing her trembling fist just a hair's breathe away from his nose. Pulling her fist back to her side Mirajane sighed in exhaustion, it wasn't even noon and this guy already was tiring her out.

"Alright now that we have that settled, let's head over to the shopping district. I saw a few stores with some sales and I want to check them out. Oh and don't worry, you don't have to pay for anything…yet." The smirk she had on made Natsu clutched at his pocket as if it would disappear. He had a bad feeling about today.

'Uuugh, I hate Valentine's Day.'

For the next few hours Mira dragged Natsu into any store that caught her eye. His arms were dragged down with bags from clothing stores, shoe stores, cooking and even music. Natsu was surprised for the last two because he had no idea Mirajane had an interest in either or. Well cooking he could see because Lisanna told him that Mira was a great cook, but the music store had thrown him for a loop. Surprisingly that was the store that they stayed in the most as Mira listened to countless songs that they had on display. Even Natsu found himself perusing the store's music selection as he found them to be pretty good. That and he was anxious for a break in the demon's shopping spree. Looking at the screen on the display case, Natsu scrolled down a list of albums before seeing one that caught his eye.

"Method Man and Doctor…P? What kind of a doctor makes music?" Putting the headphones on Natsu pressed play and was shocked to hear the lyrics. The song could best be described as a party anthem and a fight song. It was perfect for him!

"I'm definitely getting this!" It took Natsu all of five seconds to find the CD and when he did he went in search of Mira to see if she made a decision. His search would prove to be easy when he heard an angelic voice spread throughout the store. Looking for the source he found Mira two isles away from him singing to a song while dancing along with it. The other customers in the store were just as stupefied as him when they heard how lovely her voice sounded.

Her demeanor was a stark contrast to how she usually acted. She moved lively to the beat, shaking her shoulders and moving her hips, and her she had on the biggest smile he had ever seen. She seemed so much cheerier than she usually was and the smile she had on was one he hadn't ever seen her have. Hell he didn't even think she could smile like that. Strangely it made Natsu smile as well. He took his position next to her and tapped her on her shoulder which caused her to whip around faster than expected. Unfortunately that caused the cord connecting the headphones to their port to come undone and whip Natsu in the face.

"Goddammit!" Natsu screamed putting his hand over his face to nurse the wound.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to! But why would you sneak up on someone like that you idiot!" Mira tried to calm him down while at the same time berate him for his actions.

"I just wanted to see if you were done! I never I would lose and eye in the process!" Natsu kept his hand over his eye as even blinking stung.

"(sigh) You dope, let me take a look at it." Mira took his hand away from his eye to look at it. He was squinting hard meaning he was in pain but it didn't look as if there would be any permanent damage.

"Ok, the cord didn't hit your eye. You must've blinked before that happened so you should be fine, but you eye does a little red. Hmm, ok stay still for a bit…"

"Why?" Natsu asked cautiously and taking a step back.

"Just do it, I'm not gonna hurt you!" Grabbing his forearm she pulled him close to her making their chests press together. Mira's cheeks exploded in a burst of pink at feeling his chiseled exposed chest on her breasts which were covered by the thin fabric of her top. Swallowing the lump that manifested itself in her throat Mira took Natsu's face into her hands and leaned his head toward her.

"M-Mira?"

"Shuuut uuup. This will only take a second." Steeling herself she opened his eye and lightly blew into it. She did that a couple more times and gently pushed Natsu away, letting her nerves calm themselves down.

"How does your eye feel?" She asked looking away with her arms crossed.

"Huh, it actually feels a little better. I don't know what you did but thanks Mira!" He gave her his infamous toothy grin making the pinks of her cheeks even brighter. She coughed in her hand to settle herself before talking.

"Don't mention it. Seriously don't mention it, because if you do I'll skin you alive, am I clear?" She threatened, her pink cheeks doing nothing to hinder her fearsome aura.

"Clear as crystal!" He saluted with sweat dripping down his face. Seeing how silly he was acting made Mira grin sweetly. 'He may be a complete moron but he sure is cute.' Turning away she looked over her shoulder at him, her smile still on her face.

"Come on, let's pay for these and get going." Natsu saw her smile and returned it with his own.

"Right!"

After paying for their CDs and leaving the store Natsu spoke up: "So where are we headed now?"

"To the movies. A new one came out last week and I've been dying to see it!" she said with a grin. Unexpectedly she walked close to Natsu's side and snaked her arm around his. Her hand rested on his forearm and Natsu looked at it in confusion.

"Uh, Mira you're holding onto my arm."

"Y-Yeah and what of it?" She stuttered. He didn't have an answer. It was something that Lisanna usually did but he never had a problem when she did it and he didn't have one with Mira either.

"Nothing. Just saying is all." She said stuffing his other arm in his pocket with their bags hanging off of him.

"Good." Mira mumbled.

"What was that?"

"Nothing! Just keep walking ok!" she demanded.

"Geez ok, I'm walking!"

The two walked to the theatre in silence but they enjoyed it nonetheless.

"Hey Mira?"

"Yeah…"

"I didn't know you were such a good singer. You should sing for the guild sometime, I'm sure everyone would love it!" Mira blushed at his words but gripped his arm tighter before answer.

"Th-thanks, Natsu. But I doubt it." She responded.

"Huh well think about it, also…" he paused to look at her, his face etched in a serious expression.

"Y-Yeah?" Mirajane felt her heartbeat quicken at the way he looked at her.

"…that song…who are you into?" Natsu was baffled when Mira did a spit take but quickly forgot about it when he felt a fist connect with his stomach.

"D-Don't say such things just out of nowhere like that! It was just a song!" She answered heatedly.

Regaining his composure from off the ground, Natsu gave her a thumbs up and a weak smile.

"Gotcha, my bad!"

"Good, now let's get going before the movie starts." Snaking her arm around his again the two set off for their next destination for their 'not a date' on Valentine's Day.

[A/N: Surprise, surprise I'm back again. Ok I know I said this would be a one-shot but with everything that I thought of that would go into this story I decided to make it three-shot, four at the most. If this was going to be a one-shot this story would be about 10K to 15K words and I don't feel like writing that much and I don't want to subject you guys to read that much.
