Rose Tyler watched out of the small window of the zepplin. Life had changed so much for her in the last five/six years. It only seemed like yesterday that she was a London teenager, living in the shadows of the Powell Estate. The daughter of her mother Jackie Tyler, and her deceased father Pete Tyler, who had died when Rose was just six months old. She was a shop-assisstant, with no A-Levels. A mundane life.
Now she's living in an alternate world, the daughter of a parallel version of her dad, and the heir of Vitex Industries. For the first time in her life, she had everything a woman could wish for. She even had the man of her dreams, but no matter how much she tried to accept who he was. He just isn't him. A mad man with a blue box. The oncoming storm. A lonely God.
Yet she was landed with a ordinary man without that blue box.
"Rose sweetheart, go talk to him, you've barely spoke since we got back here." Jackie advised her daughter. Rose shook her head, but stood up and walked over to the man in the blue suit. He looked up at her and smiled which she returned genuinely. She never could refuse one of his smiles, even in his former body- the one with all the leather.
"How you feeling?" She asked him. He looked at her in suprise.
"I'm okay." He started for her hand, gently, he didn't want to scare her away. "I am me Rose, I promise. Just more human, isn't that what you wanted?"
Rose stared at him dumbfounded.
"I..you are so like him, your face, your eyes, your smile, the way you say my name in a sentence. The way you look at me." She grabbed his hand and held it to her cheek in comfort, she found herself leaning into his touch. She had missed him so much, the sheer warmth of his touch. Despite the danger she faced in his presence, she had never felt so safe. All the guards she had put up, she could feel them slowly melting away.
He knew she was breaking at his touch. He knew what would break all together, but he didn't want to push his luck with her. He saw her eyes fall shut, soaking in the pleasure he knew she felt. "Rose, they don't call me the Doctor for nothing. I understand what you're feeling, I know that you miss him. But that pain will decrease over time, just let me help you. I can take away your pain if you would let me." Desire held strong in his eyes.
When Rose opened her eyes, she was met with his so close to her own. She found his filled with lust and need. She wasn't sure what he was going to do. He leaned in futher, his lips trapping hers within his own. He paniked when she didn't return the kiss, and slowly retreated. He looked at her with paniked eyes.
"I'm sorry Rose, can we forget this ever happened, I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry." Had he misinturpretted the kiss on that beach?
Rose stared at him shocked. Her mind clouded. She knew what she wanted.
