So a lot of you are probably wondering what this is. Well, allow me to get you up to speed for what's to come in the next few months.
Back in 2010, I wrote a a fanfic called The Demon Master's Puppet, a story in which Grandfather returned to make Rachel his puppet in world domination, and her race against time to keep that from happening. It was a story I had plotted for a good six or seven months in advance, and took at least four months to complete, during my transition period from High School to University. It wasn't exactly my favourite story I had ever written, but it was complete, and I was proud of it none the less.
Flashforward five years later, I'm now out of University, and my inner KND fangirl has been awakened by the GKND hype (and ZERO). In my obsessed state, I decided to read my old fanfics again. Only to find that a lot of them were very curdy on re-read. Some of them I think still hold up well in the story department, even if the writing itself stinks. But this one in particular, just reeked of overwritten nonsense, never-ending monologues, and just plain bad writing on my part.
I originally resisted the urge to re-write this story, seeing how I'm trying to write my own original stuff at the time of this posting. That itself requires tons of effort and handwork, time I can't really spend writing fanfics. But I eventually gave in. What can I say? I'm a writer; the instant I come up with something, it will taunt me until I put it into words.
So, for however long it takes, I hope you enjoy this revised edition of The Demon Master's Puppet as much as I do.
Just a quick introduction to my fan character, Numbuh 273 before we get started. She is basically a Canadian mutant, who transferred into Sector V a little over a year before this story takes place. She is bossy and arrogant, but much of that is a mask to hide her insecurities regarding her powers, and her inability to make friends easily. She's actually quite sweet and cheerful once you get to know her, and she will do anything to protect her friends and loved ones.
Alex is a telekinetic mutant, a power which allows her to move objects with her mind and turn her energy into bursts of power. She can also see the future, and is capable to sensing other people's auras.
She also has a dark connection to Grandfather. Not only do they share similar personalities, but they are equals in powers, to the point where she (other than Nigel) is the only one who can resist his Reality Warping powers. As an added bonus, she also shares a telepathic link to his mind, making it easy for her to track him down.
