In Mordor fell the Dark King,
Of that victory many do sing;
But when Gil-Galad was cold and dead,
Isildur found the Ring and lost his head.
When the Dark Lord fell,
Our fears his fall did quell;
When we thought Sauron was no more,
Gil-Galad couldn't fight the war.
Thus was sung Gil-Galad's fall
In many a great hall
As we tore down Barad-Dur's wall,
There was a great sadness within us all.
