Title: Infinitely far
Rating: T (Maybe M if I continue this long enough)
AN: I'm planning to start out this story slower now. This story really is a spawn of my boredom. Nothing else. So…I'll update at my own pace. The next chapter will be posted tomorrow, after my sister proofreads it. For now, you'll have to settle for this prologue I thought up. While I go finish LoZ: The Minish Cap. :3
Enjoy.
Side Note: 'italic' thoughts
Disclaimer: I don't anything except for the ideas and thoughts that spew out of my head. …ew.
Chapter 0: -It is not length of life, but depth of life.-Ralph W. E.
It would be a long road to take. Even so, many have conquered the path with ease and grace. The so called path dubbed "life". I guess you could say that most that have conquered the path, never really got to live it out enough. But that's how this path is. Though long and perilous, life is a road that will pass by quicker than anything anyone has ever seen.
For me though, it's as slow as a snail. Ever since I was born, it has always been like this.
I've lived through many things. I've seen many faces. I've also lived many, many lives. None of which…really define the one long one I continue to walk down. As far as I'm concerned, it isn't ending anytime soon either.
Even so…I'm still expecting the end of my road to appear. But for now, I guess I'll wait. Walking down what seems like an endless path isn't all too bad. Not when you have someone to talk to, right?
A gentle wind flowed through Domino City late at night. In one small game shop near the outskirts of the city, a single light shone from the second floor.
Yugi's little lamp light shone like a beacon against the night sky. He was up late every night trying to finish a puzzle. Soon this particular puzzle that would change his life into a fantasy that everyone would dream of wanting.
"Just…a…little bit…mooore," Yugi murmured under his breath.
Ever since his grandpa had given him this golden puzzle, he'd been working on it nonstop. He never had any real friends to hang out with.
Yugi didn't think that Anzu would want to spend every school afternoon with him anyways. She had her own life to live. So, whenever he wasn't with Anzu, he spent his free moments working on his special puzzle.
He remembered his grandpa's exact words each time he worked on his puzzle. It was the only reason he really even worked on it too.
By finally finishing the puzzle, he would be able to receive one wish. Just one.
One was all that Yugi ever needed anyways.
Unlike others, he wasn't one for material items.
'I just want…to meet that special person. Even if for one millisecond, I'd just like to see…'
TBCSITNF…
If you can decipher who was speaking in the first part. You'll receive a nice cookie and my eternal love. Why? Cause even I'm not sure who it is. Like I said, it's Spawn of Boredom.
Of course it's really short. It's just a sneak peek, a prologue. Plus I was half-asleep when it sprang on me. All my stories revolve around original stories with my own original characters. Except for this one. :3
I would've done it with Naruto…but…that blonde idiot wouldn't have done it justice. If only the Kyuubi resided in someone else. -sob-
(Don't leave reviews. I'd rather look at how many people are reading it. But if you do, I'll be happy either way.)
End AN.
