Lilly slowly inched closer to the edge of the building. As she peered around the corner, she could spot a crowd gathered on the lawn. Though she couldn't see, she knew they were watching the Treblemakers' weekly ego-filling performance. This time, it was their end-of-the-year farewell. The tiny Asian pulled back and looked up at the sky, taking deep breaths. This certain Treblemaker was the first one to think her random mumblings were adorable-not crazy. But was it enough, that small connection? A bead of hope? She had been putting this off since the Bellas had come back from Nationals, but it wasn't only her voice that kept her from reaching out to him. Aubrey would ostracize the quiet Asian if she found out.
Being a part of the Barden Bellas was the first time she had been accepted into any group. Was this guy worth the risk? Sure, the rivalry between the Treblemakers and the Bellas had mellowed out, despite the fact that the Bellas had won this year. Some of them thought it was because the girls had "broken out of their shells" that the Trebles hadn't retaliated in some way. It almost seemed like respect, but it was probably more likely because Bumper had ditched the Trebles. Since then, Aubrey had been a bit more lenient in their inter-group interactions just a tad. So if the group could break out of their shell, why couldn't she? Baby steps, right? She'd had her fill of giant leaps when she signed up for a cappella auditions and taking the role of vocal percussionist, so baby steps here on out.
Lilly darted from her hiding spot and joined the crowd, nimbly weaving her way through them. The turnout was large enough that no one would notice another body-especially not a tiny one. It took her a few moments to reach her destination behind the wall the Trebles were singing in front of, the wall they stored their bags knelt down and reached forward, slipping her hand into one of the bags before melting back into the crowd. Lilly was not a stalker. Honestly. She just happened to know which bag was Donald's. That's all. It wasn't like she had been watching him out of the corner of her eye whenever she happened to be anywhere within 10 feet of him and memorized what his bag looked like. Yep. It just cemented how crazy Lilly really was. Crazy enough to quite possibly fall in love with a Treblemaker.
Lilly's eyes darted left and right as she escaped, exhaling a very soft sigh of relief when no one questioned her. With a slightly bouncier spring in her step, she whisked her way to Bellas practice, clicking a new beat under her breath. She hoped he liked the little origami crane and origami lotus with a note scribbled on the bottom.
I folded cranes to bring you luck.
Author's Note: I hope you enjoyed this first drabble. More will come in time. I'm trying to finish my last two quarters of university, but this OTP will live forever. Until then, please review and don't forget to check out the Ask Pitch Perfect tumblr page, as linked at the top of this chapter. Cheers.
