Amidst the fights, the bloodshed and the constant worry, it's the little things that matter.
Well, yes, the Strawhats did have their fun and relaxing days where the blue stretched into the horizon and there'd be no island visible for miles (which usually left Luffy jumpy and restless but he himself was glad for more time to sleep, really). But now as they enter the second-half of the Grand Line, new enemies come at them more frequently and dangerous adventures usually don't bother to wait a day.
The hurried squeeze of a hand, the echo of absolute faith in the words "Take care of it". The slapping of rubber slippers on ravaged ground, comforting sounds that he would later remember as the last thing he would hear before allowing himself to slip into unconsciousness. Or the loud peals of laughter dripping with relief as their bodies nudge on the gravelly floor, cheeks stained with dirt and blood.
Fun and relaxing days may be few and far between but they don't notice.
